* CharacterDevelopment: Tom starts off pretty biased towards non-Overworlders, but he learns to have a fair mindset over time, recognizing the good and bad between each tribe.

* FrediuanSlip: He gives off a slightly sexist comment at one point in "Battledrome of the Sexes". That said, Tom learns his lesson soon enough, to the extent of using a female creature in his Codemaster match against Codemaster Crellan.

* NeverMyFault: Kaz sometimes has this issue, such as when outright refusing to admit fault for the Dranakis Threshold incident. In fact, it's pretty much what caused the school counciler to nearly confiscate his Chaotic stuff at one point.

* UngratefulBitch: In the episode "Trading Cards" she puts the guys through a long and complex series of trades, scan quests, and battles so they can all obtain the necessary scans required to make various trades so she can get a scan of the Song of Mandiblor mugic. At the end of the episode, when the guys have acquired everything they need to make the trades, Sarah shows up and says [[ShaggyDogStory she doesn't need them anymore]] since Wamma caught the thief that stole the mugic and she ported to Perim and scanned it there, without even thanking the guys for their efforts. ->'''Voiced by''': Creator/DavidWills

Formerly the Overworld's ambassador to the Danians, Raznus dreamed of one day achieving peace between all the tribes of Perim. He was infected with a Danian Parasite and forcibly turned into a mandiblor. \\
\\
In the game Raznus has two versions with different abilities:
* His Overworld version has a Mugic ability of 2, Earth and Water elemental type, the Fireproof 10 ability, the Unique restriction and allows Danian creatures you control to spend Mugic counters on Overworld Mugic cards.
* Raznus, Assimilated has a Mugic ability of 1, Water elemental type, the Unique restriction and the ability to once per turn not allow Danian creatures you control to be targeted by Mugic or abilities until the end of the turn.
----
* FightingYourFriend: After he's transformed into a Danian, he attacks his old friend Maxxor due to being controlled by the hive, with the intent to either kill him or infect him with a Danian parasite.
* MartialPacifist: Raznus would rather solve conflict peacefully, with words instead of fists, but he can still hold his own in a fight when given no other choice.
* RedOniBlueOni: He was the blue one to Maxxor's red during their youths. He would play the role of blue oni again when paired with the hot headed Odu-Bathax.
* TalkingTheMonsterToDeath: One time when he and Maxxor were young, a creature named Quisk took the entire Kiru city hostage as revenge for his friend being imprisoned for a crime he didn't commit. While Maxxor was quick to resort to violence, Raznus managed to talk things out with Quisk and convince him to release the city.
*UnwittingPawn: The Danians sent him back to Kiru city under the pretense of signing a peace treaty with the Overworld. Homever, this was a lie, as Raznus had unknowingly been infected with a Danian parasite and the real reason the Danians sent him back to Kiru was in the hopes that he would either infect, or kill Maxxor.
* ViralTransformation: He was infected with a Danian parasite, which transformed him into a Danian mandiblor.
* WolfMan: He has the appearance of a canine humanoid.
