* TokenMinority: Stephanie is very aware that she's the only Asian queen this season, and feels the weight of it, as she describes during deliberations in episode 1. To that end, her runway that episode is an elaborate bodysuit reflecting her Filipino heritage.

* CantCatchUp: Compared to her comparatively better run on ''Down Under,'' which included a big ''Snatch Game'' win, Anita just can't get any momentum going this season whatsoever, and struggles to stand out among the other big names. She just escapes the bottom in episode 1, but is then in the bottom twice in episodes 2 and 3 before being eliminated.

* CantCatchUp: Vanity murders the first week, but her insecurities plateau her in the challenges. After several bottom placements, she’s sent home.

* BrokenAce: Combining this season and her last one, Rita has challenge wins for design challenges, acting challenges and a girl group challenge under her belt, and by all rights should be considered a major force to be reckoned with. However, Rita addresses the elephant in the room during final critiques -- and during [[https://twitter.com/canadasdragrace/status/1604929442962296832 this unaired segment]] -- that a sizeable hatedom developed for her for various reasons (especially after she sent home fan favorite Jimbo), and it got to the point that she had to briefly shut down her social media. While Rita has a little more vivaciousness this season and seems in a better place, she makes clear by season's end that it didn't come without hardships.

* WackyMarriageProposal: During the final critiques, Victoria uses her speech to propose to her girlfriend on television. It's definitely a first for the franchise -- who would ever think to propose while in the final four on ''Drag Race?'' (She said yes, by the way!)
