Tortured as a child to produce a biotic super-soldier, which she has suppressed the memories of, and adopted. Joined the Systems Alliance military shortly before Mindoir, and fought alongside Shepard there, being one of the few survivors besides her and Major Kiel. Joins the Normandy crew much earlier, and Shepard's oldest remaining friend.

** ShockAndAwe: He can generate lightning and redirect it after Shepard is revived, as quickly as Ozai or Mako.

* DarkAndTroubledPast: Henri Lawson was worse than in canon. As an example, she's not the first Miranda Lawson. She was the first that ''survived'' what Henri did to his DesignerBabies.

Born on Mindoir with her parents and younger sister Talitha, was badly traumatized when batarian raiders attacked the planet for slaves, leaving her with a bad temper and a deep hatred for batarians and slavers of all types. Later resulted in the slaughter at Torfan, where she and her team managed to root out the batarians despite 97% casualties, and discovered Shepard was the Avatar. Later promoted to become the first human Spectre, and assigned to stop Saren.

* GoodIsNotNice[=/=]GoodIsNotSoft: She has no qualms whatsoever with killing people to get the job done, if needed. She is still very disturbed by the idea of killing people who don't deserve it, though.

* WouldHurtAChild: She did this on Torfan. Though at that point said kids were toting explosives.

* LoveInterest: Initially to Shepard before he dies.

* AdaptationalHeroism: Starts out as a member of the Systems Alliance military, and one of Shepard's closest friends.
