Hajime and his girls are all that make-up their group (around 5 or so) and are only out for themselves, usually helping others for their own reasons, benefit, or simply a side-effect of their real goals.

* RoaringRampageOfRescue: When Myuu is seized from the local equivalent of a police station by the criminal gang that kidnapped and enslaved her, [[RefugeInAudacity using explosives]], said gang made one critical mistake, they sent him a ransom note and put his face on a wanted poster. Say hello to the total annihilation of the gang.

* MamaBear: As nasty as Hajime is when Myuu is threatened, she's ''even more brutal.'' Hajime will use what he believes is the ''minimum'' force to make people never able to hurt her again. Shea... will squash them like grapes, '''slowly''', if she's feeling generous.

* BrokeTheRatingScale: By the time he and Yue are finished with the Orcus Labyrinth, his status plate just gives his level as "???".

* TheDeterminator: He survives falling into the depths of the Great Orcus Labyrinth partly by a lucky find of a Divinity Stone that heals his grievously wounded body, partly by eating monsters for lack of any other available food and gaining their powers because the Ambrosia from the Divinity Stone stops the monster meat from killing him, but mostly out of a sheer ornery refusal to die.

* DespairEventHorizon: [[spoiler:Comes quite close to completely cross it, at the very least the grief of losing Yue made him unlock a conceptual magic of [[CessationOfExistence ''denying all existences'']], since to him, if Yue isn't in this world, this world doesn't deserve to exist.]], cue GetAHoldOfYourSelfMan .

Member of the secretive Ryuujin Race, was on a mission to gather information about Hajime and his class but fell asleep and was mind controlled by an evil magician, during the battle with Hajime she learned about her S&M predisposition, turned into a masochist and calls Hajime her Master. Her human form's strong, compared to even the heroes, her dragon form surpasses them at least a couple times.

* AssShove: '''And big time'''. This is how Hajime wake her up for interrogation. and wake her long-suppressed masochism in the process.

* LoveAtFirstPunch: From what she said, Hajime is the first person ever to deliver such heavy defeat on her (not to mention [[AssShove what]] he did afterwards), while none of her [[BestHerToBedHer candidates]](back to her days as princess) can even land a scratch.

* AdaptationalVillainy: Inverted. A side effect of the manga's AdaptationDistillation removes a great many of his KickTheDog moments, making him look foolish and misguided as opposed to the outright evil he actually is. This makes his attempt to kill Hajime comes out of nowhere and seem a little far for a simple bully.

* ComplexityAddiction: Her plans for Kouki have to be among the most convoluted method to achieve her goals. [[spoiler: She could have simply taken advantage of his LeeroyJenkins tendencies and let him die as a result of his own devices to then "resurrect" him as her puppet, but instead, she blackmails Hiyama, contracts with the Demons, sabotages the defenses of the human city, and uses a ZombieApocalypse to critically injure all her classmates so she could try turning them to her puppets one at a time while forcing the rest to watch.]] Not only does this ultimately fail, but she completely enrages and alienates Hajime who is only stopped from giving her a FateWorseThanDeath by Freed's armed invasion.

* CoupDeGrace: [[spoiler:He's mortally wounded when Reiss attacks Aiko after Hajime defeats the monster army and captures him. Not wanting Aiko to blame herself for Yukitoshi's death, Hajime {{Mercy Kill}}s him with gunshots to the head and heart and tells her it was "because he was my enemy."]]

* ThatWasntARequest: He foolishly informs Hajime that the Hualia, including Shea, especially Shea, were all marked for execution irrevocably, for the "crime" of raising her kindly instead of turning her over upon birth because of her inherent co-genital, Magic Manipulation skill. This was done with the explicit intention of strong-arming Hajime to do things Verbegen's way. Needless to say, Hajime doesn't take that well.

* AlphaStrike: Pulls a great one on Hajime in the Grand gruen volcano, nearly killing him instantly with the help of his dragons.

The demon tasked by Freid to clear the Orcus Labyrinth, she also intended to recruit Kouki's party

* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: Her love towards Mikhail gave her the victory against Kouki's party, her last words were also directed to him.

* KatanasAreJustBetter: Switch to a black katana made by Hajime later on. Justified in that she is familiar and her style is based on one, so using other type of swords make it difficult, not to mention the katana as she got it was only marginally worse than the PurposelyOverpowered holy sword. When he upgrades it again, that katana is the best sword in the world bar none.

* WrongContextMagic: PlayedWith in that the magic they use isn't so much unheard of so much as so ''old'' no-one's never heard of it. It doesn't help that two of the group are from races long thought extinct and another's from what is known [[spoiler: until recently]] as the "hippie tribe" of the Beastmen. In the after story, this trope played straight [[spoiler:as they found themselves in yet another world, sometimes by accident]]​.

* TerrifyingRescuer: The way he rescues what remains of the Haulia clan from the Imperial soldiers/slavers is so brutal, by Haulia standards, that Hajime utterly terrifies them, and remember, this is with Hajime holding back to gauge the minimum force required to breech human armor while minimizing collateral damage.

* BewareTheNiceOnes: She hates battle and seeks peaceful resolution whenever possible. That said, if you're a fool who antagonizes her enough, or ''makes her fight'', you will soon regret it, as Grid Half learned to his horror. [[spoiler: She merrily piled up a mountain of imperial troop corpses as if she was collecting kindling for winter, and as for Grid himself, when he was on the brink of death, she ''literally'' punched him to the moon, but even she doesn't know if he made it all the way... Then when more imperial troops showed up, happily went right back to the slaughter, piling up even more corpses.]]

* KickingAssInAllHerFinery: In volume 8, she's set upon by imperial soldiers, who have a history of treating any beast-man, especially of the rabbit clans, as a DisposableSexWorker, and that's the ''kind ones'' while she's wearing an elegant ball-gown. Doesn't stop her from piling them up as corpses like she was collecting kindling for winter.

* SaveTheVillain: She stops her people from utterly annihilating the bear clan, despite the fact that her people were more than justified, as the bear-clan, under Regin, was trying to utterly genocide them. She doesn't do this because she has any mercy in mind for the bear-clan. She does it so her people don't cross the MoralEventHorizon and basically become the Beast-man equivalent of the same Imperial soldiers who happily bragged about raping, murdering, and enslaving every beast-man they came across.

* SillyRabbitIdealismIsForKids: He gets hit quite a bit by this, his point of view of what is a hero includes sparing any and all humanoid enemies, including the genocidal and AlwaysChaoticEvil devil folk, and he cannot quite understand why is it preferable to threaten the imperial family to abolish slavery, instead of fighting some guards to free ''one'' slave.

* WhatTheHellHero: He ''never'' approves of Hajime's actions and he's quite vocal about those that include mercilessly killing foes. [[spoiler:Or helping the Haulia butcher the imperial family to threaten Gahard into abolishing slavery.]] Of course he also disapproves of those times Hajime ''doesn't'' take action, even if it is because there is no need to move, or he has a better plan ready to get the best results available.

* MeaningfulName: The [[CelticMythology The goddess he get his name from]]​ is [[JerkassGod not the pleasant fellow]], the god he worshipped [[GodIsEvil is not]]​ [[MadGod the sane fellow]], either.

* WackyParentSeriousChild: He's introduced as the wacky parent.

* ScrewTheRulesIMakeThem: As the crown prince, he constantly abuses his position to outright ignore imperial decree, especially rulings against violence.

* VillainsWantMercy: After the utter elimination of the rest of the company, the last man, who had dropped his weapon in a panic, begged, pleaded, and offered his complete surrender to Hajime if he'd be spared. Hajime only spared him long enough to get critical information regarding the rest of the tribe, who are all either killed or long gone into imperial slavery by that point, before killing him too.

The imperial soldier who lead the slaver soldiers who captured, raped, and killed many Haulia before Shea could find Hajime.

* EvilGloating: Hajime's training is just a bit ''too'' effective at training the Haulia to become killing machines, and he starts to sadistically gloat over Rejin of the Bear clan, after utterly annhiliating Rejin's squad, before preparing to sadistically slaughter what remains of the bear clan, in direct retaliation for untold ''years'' of abuse at their hands. Shea and Hajime both put a stop to it, not because of any mercy towards the Bear clan, but because neither Hajime nor Shea wanted the Haulia to become as depraved as imperial slavers. The fact that Hajime had a bit of CruelMercy to deliver unto Rejin is also a factor.

* NoGoodDeedGoesUnpunished: Because he and his clan had the unmitigated gall to ''raise Shea kindly'' instead of letting her be executed as a baby, due to the fact that she was born with the inherent "mana manipulation" skill, his entire clan was labeled as criminals, chased out of the Sea of Trees and hunted down by imperial slavers "because they gave sanctuary to a 'monster' like ''her.''"

* VampireMonarch: Averted for two reasons, she never desired power, only to keep her kingdom safe and because her family was too afraid of her not keeping that idea and decided to imprison her,[[spoiler:They fooled her ''''Hard''''.]]

* {{Irony}}: A cabal of her advisors removed her from her position as Queen of the Vampires because they feared her power. The vampires would subsequently be wiped out during a war. If Yue were still their reigning monarch, there are pretty good odds that would have never happened.{{Subverted}}, though, [[spoiler: as Ehitorujue is the one instigating the war, and Yue is [[GrandTheftMe exactly what he aimed]]​, with her or without,[[FridgeHorror they're doomed anyway]].]]​

* GeneralFailure: Unlike Hajime, who attended and studied Meld's tactics and strategies sessions, and learned from them, he only focused on the aspects of his "Dark Magic" that served him, particularly the brainwashing. As such, when he found himself in charge of the large army of monsters he spent weeks building up, his "plans" were a complete disaster, not even preparing an exit strategy or an orderly retreat. By the time he realizes he's in over his head and tries to run, it's already too late for him.

In fact, if you can't hack it in the real world, where life is ''relatively easy'', you're not likely to do well if you suddenly find yourself in a setting like those common to "other world" anime, harem or otherwise, because you're not going to be strong enough, physically, mentally, or morally to deal with a life and death situation.
