!! ''TheHungerGames''
* The soundtrack to ''Film/TheHungerGames''. Chilling, majestic, triumphant, everything it needed to be and more. It was perfect.
** The national anthem of Panem, called [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dYY2r1O3bzQ Horn of Plenty]], is played regularly in both the first movie and the second, given its ceremonial role in Panem and the Hunger Games. It's both awesome and suitably impressive to be an actual national anthem.
** Arcade Fire's "Abraham's Daughter," which plays during the credits, perfectly captures the emotional frame of the whole movie. With symbolic lyrics to boot.
** Heck, pretty much all of the companion CD would count. T-Bone Burnett, the producer (previously of ''Film/OBrotherWhereArtThou'' fame) was careful to follow along with District 12's Appalachian music roots and included a lot of lesser-known but extremely talented artists. DoingItForTheArt![[note]]However, only three songs on it - including the ones mentioned on either side of this entry - are in the movie.[[/note]]
** Music/TaylorSwift's song "Safe & Sound," released late 2011, was mutually helpful, turning many people into fans of her and introducing many teenagers to the series through music. Her song "Eyes Open," while a little more rocking, has fitting lyrics for Katniss.
** James Newton Howard's score is also effective, and not only because of its incorporation of "Abraham's Daughter."
* ''Film/TheHungerGamesMockingjayPart1'':
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=14H8OzTzne4 "The Hanging Tree"]], as sung by Jennifer Lawrence herself, was lauded by virtually everyone in the fandom. As a bonus, she actually had a bigger hit with it than Lorde did with her song.
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e1S9HUNoI4k "Yellow Flicker Beat"]] by Music/{{Lorde}}, which plays over the first film's end credits.
** Most of the soundtrack qualifies, though special mention goes to "[[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MaLtcOvoTTo Meltdown]]" by Stromae, "[[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RWhEUR0I9fo Dead Air]]" by CHVRCHES, Music/KanyeWest's [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RuY4MSh1V-I rework]] of "Yellow Flicker Beat", and Major Lazer's [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rN4kKpVoKew "All My Love"]](although it should be noted that none of these songs are actually in the movie).
** From the score, the song [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mV6PeDRnILM "Victory"]] at the very end of the film, which is an epic variation of "Searching For Peeta" from the first film, particularly towards the end.
** The sequel's soundtrack ain't half bad either, with Coldplay's soaring "Atlas," Music/TheNational's TearJerker "Lean," and Sia's "Elastic Heart." It's more poppy than the first one, but by no means does that mean it's bad. (Incidentally, "Atlas" is the only one of these songs to actually be in the movie!) Points also for Howard's by turns reflective and exciting scoring.
* ''Film/TheHungerGamesMockingjayPart2'':
** James Newton Howard's score - the lengthy cue for [[spoiler: the sewer attack which claims Jackson and Finnick]] is a standout. It also helps that the movie is the only one not to have a tie-in pop song album, with the only vocalising coming from Jennifer Lawrence (who does "Deep In The Meadow" as part of the nine-minute end credits piece).
