* In "April Fools", King Julien goes on a pranking spree and starts playing malicious pranks on the zoo's residents. But he crosses the line when he draws an insulting painting on Roy's butt. So what Roy does? He goes to Penguins and asks them to teach Julien a lesson about going too far with pranks. How? Have him chasing Julien and apparently trying to kill him so that the penguins would then save Julien from him. But when that doesn't work (because Julien learned the wrong lesson) Roy, unbeknownst to everyone, charges at Julien again, leading to Skipper TakingTheBullet and sacrificing his live to save the lemur. Julien overcame with guilt rushes to Skipper's body and proceeds to hug him... only "Skipper" turning out to be plushie, with Skipper well and alive besides Roy's head, with both of them, rest of the penguins, Burt, Roger, Mason and Phil laughing at his humiliation! Talk about combining SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome with Funny Moment!

** The Rat King laying the beatdown on Skipper (until Skipper does the corkscrew on him) was pretty awesome too. Especially if you see Skipper as a jerk and he worthy a beatdown.

* "Dr. Blowhole's Revenge" has a few gems:
**
The titular team defeating Blowhole's entire army themselves.themselves.
** Julien turning out to be FakeDefector and deactivating Blowhole's Ring of Fire.
** Mort becomes AccidentalHero by freeing the Penguins from Dr. Blowhole's trap and buying Penguins time while they're fighting with Blowhole's lobsters.
** Rico and Private saving Skipper from Chrome Claw.

** From the same episode, Private freeing the lemurs from the "Graveyard Eight" bus.

* Private freeing the lemurs from the "Graveyard Eight" bus.

* "Stop Buggin Me!" Has a definite crowner. A group of surfer-dude roaches called "Broaches" start playing buddy-buddy with Rico when he saves them from Officer X, now Exterminator X. And when the crazed former animal-control officer captures most of the team, Private overcomes his terminal case of the willies and gives X the runaround with a makeshift stealth suit of Broaches. Yes. You read that right intrepid troper, Private, fighting every urge to scream out in skeeved-out terror, pretty much living the nightmare of anyone afraid of roaches or any other insect, covers himself with skittering cockroaches to blend into the shadows! And it gets better! When the lights come back on, it's just X alone in a room with the Broaches hitching a ride in his uniform giving him a wedgie! It has to be seen to be believed!

* Hot Ice is a definite crowner. They legitimately stopped two robbers and foiled their bank heist. One of their crowning heroic moments.

* After Julian finds out that the baby Fusa (a species that usually eats lemurs) thinks he's it's daddy, he promptly goes PapaWolf to save it from Savio (a devious mastermind of a Boa that has caused serious trouble for the Penguins before.) Including telling the Fusa to bite his tail so it can hang on while he runs on all fours and telling the snake to eat him first when they get cornered (Julian hopes his fluffy nature will choke the snake, making it unable to eat the baby).
** Then the Fusa cub beating the crap out of Savio. Mind you the only other who beat Savio through sheer physical force was Burt the elephant.

* In "Work Order", An accident breaks the water main and puts the HQ at risk of discovery. And so we are introduced to Gus. Full name: Gustav "Gus" Babushka. A muscle-bound Russian plumber who has to dig down and is at risk of hitting the team's fusion reactor(that of course, they don't have.)and this is one man who will let nothing, and we mean nothing get in the way of doing his job. Broken tools? Dig barehanded. Searing heat and freezing cold? Pfftt! Venomous snakes biting him? Ha! His sheer determination and toughness are enough to break Skipper if only for a moment!

Up To Eleven is a defunct trope

* "Cute-astrophe" culminates in Private finally standing up to Skipper and the others, flat-out refusing to use his weaponised cuteness factor anymore. Even when it looks like he'll have to use it to avoid the team being shipped off to Denmark, he sticks by his guns and ends up fighting off all three of the others at once. BadassAdorable at its most adorable.

** Seems Private comes from a family of badass penguins. Just ask Uncle Nigel who's a dapper, gentlemanly secret agent!
