* Credit where it's due to Father Martin. If you're going to go out, ''self-immolating yourself'' is certainly one way to do it.

** He makes it through the asylum and into the underground facility where the Morphogenic Engine is located, the machine that's caused all the chaos and suffering. Once there, he's tasked with shutting down the machine keeping alive Billy Hope, who the Walrider is using as a host. And despite being chased by him, a super-powered nano-machine being, Miles manages to shut down all three segments of the machine, surviving a nearly lethal beating in the process. And despite all the abuse he's been through, despite being barely able to stand, Miles gets up and limps out of that room. And when greeted by a group of soldiers, even being shot isn't enough to finish Miles off. It takes half a clip of ammunition to fully put him down. Godspeed, Miles.
** Not only does Miles ''survive'', and eradicate Wernicke's squad, he has ''taken control of the Walrider.'' We repeat -- '''the Walrider is under Miles' control.'''
** Miles now has the control of an all-mighty force that can rip men to shreds with ease, and he uses this power to put down the people that deserve it, and not just the execution squad who tried to kill him. As Waylon is limping out of the asylum, Blaire uses the last of his strength to try to stab him to death, [[BigDamnHeroes but who comes to Waylon's rescue? Miles, who flings Blaire into the air, tosses him around for just long enough to hear him scream in terror, and utterly eviscerates him from the outside out, showering the floor in a tidal wave of blood.]] Even when he's fused with the Walrider, he still cares about justice, and knows that Waylon deserves to get out alive.

** By the same token, Blaire ''also'' getting eradicated by the Walrider and [[OhCrap screaming out of sheer horror]] the entire time. After suffering through the torment that he ultimately caused, both indirectly and personally, it's ''so damn satisfying'' to see him get a well-earned gruesome death. This time, [[NiceGuy Waylon]] is not sympathetic at all.

* After dodging Trager and making it to the elevator, Trager corners Miles as soon as he activates it. Miles has no choice but to grapple with Trager. Miles manages to knock him back, and [[KarmicDeath Trager has his torso crushed between the floor and the descending elevator]].
* Miles is a man with no special abilities, no combat training, and no weapons. He faces sights that would drive men insane, he's tossed through windows, he has several fingers cut off, and he's hounded by psychotic maniacs who would like nothing more than to tear him to pieces and eat him. * On a similar note, Waylon not only manages to escape the havoc of the nonstop slaughter of the asylum, and Murkoff being out for his guts, but recovers the whistleblower email in the process -- [[EarnYourHappyEnding everything he wanted to do.]] Yes, Murkoff will not rest until he is dead or incarcerated, but thanks to him, they are ''not'' [[KarmaHoudiniWarranty going to be able to avoid their karma.]]

* From a meta perspective, the fact that the two games end at the same time. It's helped by the 12 hour time skip in Whistleblower but regardless, the way it happens out of almost nowhere is really neat. As Waylon finally manages to make it outside and see the daylight, when he climbs into Miles' jeep, you can see Miles standing outside, looking at him. He uses his newfound nano-machine powers to cause a dust-storm and blow open the security gate and help him escape for good.
** It's especially cool during Whistleblower when you stumble across Trager's dead body, as well as the burning building where Father Martin set himself on fire. It also makes you remember that Miles is nearby, trying to survive and shut Murkoff down too.
** Even better? If Miles had gone through the door that you're looking through instead of the ''other'' door, he would have met Eddie and, in turn, Waylon.

** It's especially cool during Whistleblower when you stumble across Trager's dead body, as well as the burning building where Father Martin set himself on fire. It also makes you remember that Miles is nearby, trying to survive and shut Murkoff down too.
