* Hattori Hanzo formally presents The Bride with her specially-made katana after delivering a speech emphasizing the importance of his latest creation:
-->I am finished doing what I swore an oath to God, 28 years ago, to never do again. I've created ''something that kills people'', and in that purpose, I was a success. I've done this because, philosophically, I am sympathetic to your aim. I can tell you with no ego: this is my finest sword. If on your journey, you should encounter God, God will be cut.
** The scene where The Bride and Hanzo first meet in his sushi bar is a masterclass of acting. He's just flirting with her like she's a regular tourist until she casually drops his name. * O-Ren gets one for how she took out the man who orchestrated her parents' murders when she was only eleven years old. How did this happen? The [[LittleMissBadass pre-teen O-Ren]] learned that Matsumoto was a pedophile so she used herself as a HoneyTrap to get into the man's bedroom, and as soon as she had the chance, she killed him herself. Not only that, but she used the man's own ''katana'' (the same one he used to murder her mother and almost kill her) and as she stabbed him and ''twisted the blade in his wound'', she told him to look at her in the eye and recognize her as the daughter of two of his victims. Then she pulls the katana out (resulting in an epic RainOfBlood) and, almost immediately afterward, grabs Matsumoto's spare gun and kills two of his bodyguards before running away.

* Elle's entire monologue to Budd after framing The Bride for his death by using a black mamba to poison him must count. She even sits down and calmly reads to him from a little pocket notebook, telling him what she's learned about the snake and adding a bit of commentary along the way.
