* Chapter 123: The titular BattleOfWits is a big one for Gen and showcases his abilities as TheSocialExpert of the group. He faces off Mozu, a massive BloodKnight who can kill him and his party in a few seconds. In just one chapter, through a combination of subtle sociological tricks, BlatantLies, HalfTruth, and plain old ReversePsychology, Gen manages to convince Mozu to give into his TheStarscream tendencies and strike a temporary truce with Senku in order to bring [[ArcVillain Minister Ibara]] down. And the best part is that Mozu is manipulated into thinking [[GladYouThoughtOfIt it was all his idea!]]

* Hell, anyone who stayed After being petrified, Senku realizes that if he wants to survive, he'll have to stay conscious and, most the whole time, forcing himself to endure an over 3700-year long AndIMustScream scenario through [[{{Determinator}} raw willpower alone]]. He kept himself focused the whole time by counting the seconds so he could keep track of all, ''sane'' for those 3700 years.

** This chapter reveals how Senku survived Ibara using the Medusa weapon to petrify the entire island - the rest of the Kingdom of Science quickly organized themselves to stand equally-spaced in the path of the petrification beam (essentially turning themselves into a human chain measuring tape), allowing Senku to estimate its velocity and determine the exact moment to throw up a clay flask of revival fluid, which then landed back on him and counteracted his own impending petrification.

* Chapter 136: When Senku was throwing chemical bottles at Ibara, it's later revealed that it was a distraction so he could sneakily throw a bottle of revival fluid at Ryusui to revive him. Ryusui quickly figures out what's happening and went to retrieve a communication earring from the petrified Mozu to listen to Senku's directions and sends the drone into the air as Ibara throws the Medusa.

** To sum up why Senku won. If it weren't for Chrome's plan to set a scale with everyone for Senku to calculate the Medusa beam ratio, Ukyo telling him last minute how Medusa activates by voice command, and Ryusui's ability to catch up at the exact moment and assist him flawlessly, Senku would've lost completely to Ibara. This reinforces Senku's belief that Science needs the collaboration of a community to advance.

** The whole sequence deserves explanation.
*** His first idea (using the battery to set fire to the cell's ropes) gets interrupted when the guards see the sparks, but when they assume that he did so by rubbing sticks together he plays into their assumption that he's a primitive idiot who thinks common knowledge (such as boiling seawater to get salt) makes him a genius science-user like Senku, getting them to laugh off the idea that he could escape on his own.
*** He then comes up with the idea to make acid using the battery and salt water (recalling Senku teaching him about sodium hydroxide), which he obtains by spending ''the entire night'' working up a sweat and wringing out his clothes into a cup. Yes, everything after this is Chrome running on ''no sleep''.
*** After using the acid to burn the ropes of his cell, he takes out two of the guards with one of the bamboo poles from the cell and ''pole vaults'' over one of the pit traps and makes his escape across the open field, having memorized where the traps are and knowing that the guards are too terrified of the warden to risk triggering and exposing one of the pits themselves.
*** Chrome finds himself cornered by the warden at the top of a waterfall, and quickly learns that he's no match for the guy in a straight-up fight. He falls to his knees and starts "vomiting blood" (actually red fluid from some of the plants he'd taken while trying to gather supplies for his escape attempt), feigning that he has pneumonia and freaking the warden out by reminding him just how deadly it is without the medicines that Tsukasa's army can't make. He spits "blood" at the warden, distracting him long enough to take him out with a GroinAttack, incapacitating him long enough for Chrome to slip away.

* When Senkuu, Yuzuriha, and Taijuu's plan to inhibit Tsukasa is put into action. Sure, Yuzuriha and Taijuu think Senkuu got his neck snapped, but the teamwork these three displayed in order to cause a gunpowder explosion was nothing short of exciting.

--> '''Senkuu''': In our time, there is no darkness. Light bulbs erased night from the world. With old man [[UsefulNotes/ThomasEdison Edison]]'s incandescent light bulb, we claimed all 24 hours of the day for our own. With science, Humanity defeated the "night". It's been 3700 years since its light shone on Earth. And although it didn't last more than a second, its light was nothing like the light of fire. Dazzlingly white, the light of science!

* Season 2, Episode 2: As Senku and the team prep-up the crude-yet-effective "cell phones", they use equally-crude-yet-effective bombs in order to use the loud sounds generated by them to [[WeNeedADistraction lure away Homura]] as the team in charge of setting up the secondary Cell Phone pack rush past the now-distracted Homura to set up the Cell Phone pack near the Empire of Might's village. As Homura makes her way to the source of the explosions, Kohaku nearly manages to hit her neck with the flat side of her katana. As the two are nearly-equal in speed, she manages to push Homura near Ishigami village. Once nearly there, Senku rushes to the oncoming Homura to unveil a curious light bulb-tipped contraption, throws it up into the air near where Homura is approaching and dons a curious set of eye protection ware. What is said contraption you might ask? A freakin' crude-yet-VERY-effective '''[[BlindedByTheLight flash grenade!]]'''
-->'''Senku:''' Curious, aren't ya? Turn your peepers over this way and take a real good look. Check out my shocking science gadget, level 2. It's a flash grenade.

Once Senku confirms that they are safe, the two calmly stand before the wave... and smile as it comes to a stop before them.
