Season 3 gave them a payoff, in the form of Nick Creegan as Ryan's brother Marquis Jet, the first African-American actor to portray the character in live-action. * Luke discovers something that his father had been working on before his death. That thing being his Batwing armor from the comics!
** Luke's first time out in the suit goes quite well all things considered. First he uses it to fly up and catch Mary after she's thrown of a fire escape. Then he uses the suit to knock out Tavaroff, the corrupt Crow agent that shot and nearly killed him a few episodes ago who also tried to frame Luke for attempted assault with a gun to keep himself out of trouble and later tried to beat Luke to death for humiliating him in a card game, in one punch while the man is powered up by Venom. Justice has struck stronger!
* A family is cowering in their apartment during the anarchy Black Mask has engineered when the father sees the son has one the False Face masks. The son reveals that their neighbors put a mask in the window and asks if they can do the same, prompting a EurekaMoment for the father. It's revealed that several of the people in the city have painted Bat-Symbols on the masks and lit them with candles to show their faith in Batwoman.
* After Tavaroff winds up at the clinic Mary discovers he has a Snakebite injector for an aerosolized variant and comes up with a plan on the spot to remove the Circe personality that's taken over Kate. Use the Snakebite to bring her original personality back out.
* Ryan goes along with Mary's plan but isn't confident about her chances of taking on Circe, who now has the Batsuit and all of the Batcave's weaponry, so she agrees to an EnemyMine with Alice. After having enough of Alice's ranting Ryan tears into her, bluntly informing the lunatic that she is not and will never be forgiven for killing Ryan's adoptive mother and that once the city is saved she is going to do everything in her power to shove Alice in a jail cell.
* Ryan and Alice tag team Circe, who has the Batsuit and all of the associated gear. They actually manage to deal with her long enough to get the upper hand so they can spray her with the Snakebite to bring Kate's mind back.
** Ryan gets the ultimate ShutUpHannibal response when Circe taunts her about she couldn't match up to Kate:
-->'''Ryan''': Call me Batwoman.
* Alice deals with Black Mask while Ryan goes after Circe. The madman rants about how Alice was a lackluster villain while he's a true mastermind but Alice just asks him who a real villain was. Her answer? The Joker, which is followed by her using the man's flower to spray acid into Black Mask's face and then she shoves his mask on; burning it onto his face and fraying his mind from the trauma. Guess who the real villain is now.

* How did Ryan escape the Candy Lady the first time? Simple. Angelique got herself kidnapped, but managed to smuggle in a slingshot. She pelted the Candy Lady with the slingshot, then brained her with the candy jar, and then helped Ryan out of the house to safety. And the two girls were barely teenagers at the time.

* In their first fight, Ryan manages to hold her own against Alice, and unlike Kate, she doesn't hold back. And for her part, Alice seems amused more than anything of her younger adversary's obvious bloodlust, either landing hits of her own or parrying off Ryan's. Those she did take from the latter seem to have little effect, until this new Batwoman manages to get Alice down on one knee and then grabbing her around the neck with both hands. Alice merely sneers at the thought of her going down at the hands this total stranger and not by Kate's, maintaining a psychological advantage over Ryan before she unveils her trump card: a flock of bats that are carriers to the same potent toxin the killed Catherine Hamilton. She remotely unleashes then to the rally below using a sonic-emission device planted beforehand, distracting Ryan. In the end, Alice ends up fleeing and offering Mary an antidote to her latest poisoning scheme. It should be noted that, despite having just finished trading blows with the person whom she thinks is trying to take over where Kate left off, Alice apparently still has the guts to go to her step-sister with such confidence.
