** Hulk. He is actually taken out of the picture before the movie even begins, thanks to Banner developing a way to take over the body, denying any closure for his thrauma in the past movie. His strenght is useless through the movie, as first the Ancient One sidesteps entirely by punching the astral conscience of Banner out, and then he [[spoiler: is too damaged by the snap to join the final battle]]. When they go back to New York's invasion, his past self is thoroughly mocked, including by Banner is self, is shown to be left out of the elevator and forced to take the stairs by the other Avengers, and eventually is the reason the plan fails and Locky manages to escape with the Tesseract. Banner doesn't fare much better himself, though, as his intelligence becomes an InformedAttribute, and his attempts at time travel only serve to provide some comic relief (leading to Scott's aforementioned ButtMonkey status) and to underline just how badly the heroes need Tony.

* AbortedArc: The Sokovia Accords are totally unmentioned throughout the movie (though its immediate chronological successor ''Series/WandaVision'' establishes that they’re still around), Steve Rogers and his allies are no longer fugitives, and Hulk is able to operate in public to the point where he poses for selfies with kids. Justified due to how the Snap broke Earth's ruling bodies -- Nick Fury and Maria Hill are gone (so probably no SHIELD), Thaddeus Ross is gone, and we're told world governments are in pieces. It seems like the Avengers are the ones filling the power vacuum of keeping peace and order across the planet, so presumably no one else has the means to bring legal action against them, and if they do then they'd probably not because they need their help now.

The same goes for Thanos, who is killed by Thor in the first act of the film, but is eventually replaced with a slightly younger counterpart from earlier in the timeline.

** The quantum time travel device also brings back Gamora, as the Gamora of 2014 hadn't been killed by Thanos. However, since this is a Gamora from before she ever met Star-Lord, this causes a relationship reset.
