The Impulse uses these packs the same way the Strike does with agility, close-combat and long-range bombardment except that the Impulse's version of the Sword and Launcher Strike has more balanced equipment to fight, even in its non-specialized range of combat. There are other expansion packs present such as the Earth Alliance using Striker packs for their Windam and Dagger L units. The Wizard packs are used for the ZAKU series by ZAFT but unlike the Impulse, the Wizard packs for the ZAKU units cannot be swapped mid-fight. Similar to Kira and Mu favoring the Aile Strike's high mobility, the high mobility Blaze ZAKU packs are the most commonly used by ZAFT soldiers compared to the close-range Slash pack most famously used by Yzak and the long-range Gunner pack used by Lunamaria.
