* ''Di Gi Charat Nyo!'' (2003), the ContinuityReboot of the franchise, and ReTool of the first season without the references to its original commercial roots. It also adds the information already given in ''Panyo Panyo'' to expand the cast's backstories and their respective development in that universe.

* The seasonal Specials and TheMovie (2000-2001) introduces [[TheRival the real rival]] of Dejiko, Pyocola Analogue III (a.k.a. Piyoko), and her "bodyguards"[=/=]"minions", the Black Gema Gema Gang. * HoistByHisOwnPetard:
** This often happens to Piyoko and the Deji Devil in ''Panyo Panyo''. One episode features them trying to trick Dejiko into traps that will cause a weight to fall on her head. Everytime it ends up falling on Piyoko.
** Another episode features Dejiko and Puchiko trying to help Meek catch a cat. Dejiko sets up a PitTrap while Puchiko sets up a BoxAndStickTrap with a fish in it. The cat ends up jumping on the box while Puchiko is under it and jumps on Dejiko's head which causes her to lose her balance and fall into the pit.

* TheRealSpoofbusters: In ''Panyo Panyo'', when tasked with battling ghosts, Dejiko, Puchiko, and Gema don brown jumpsuits and suck up ghosts with a vacuum cleaner.

* SpinOffBabies: Downplayed with ''Panyo Panyo'' as it takes place two years before the main series.

* WiseBeyondTheirYears: Puchiko is three years old in the ''Panyo Panyo'' series, but she can walk and talk and easily keep up with a trio of girls that are five years older than her.

* ''Panyo Panyo Di Gi Charat'' (2002), which sort-of serves as a {{prequel}} of the original anime, it also sets foot in an AlternateContinuity. * OneSteveLimit: Averted. The original series had two different characters named Takuro, one who was a friend of Rabi~en~Rose and the other who was an admirer of Puchiko. However, they had different last names and their names were rarely said.

* BystanderSyndome: One episode has Dejiko and Puchiko running away from a giant Gema. Once Puchiko realizes that Gema is only after Dejiko, she quickly ditches her.

* CripplingOverspecification: Takuro Minagawa, a friend of Rabi~en~Rose, is only able to deal with exorcisms related to shijimi clams. Thus he is of no use when Puchiko gets possessed by a snail.

** The rest of the Black Gema Gema Gang (Rik, Ky, and Coo) are not in ''Panyo Panyo'', instead, Piyoko works with the Deji Devil. Rabi~en~Rose is also absent, but it’s justified as this adaptation does not take place on earth

* AdaptationalSeriousness: Winter Garden is much more down to earth, with many of the fantastical elements being AdaptedOut.

** PKO (Coo, Ryk and Ky)'s looks are based in dogs. Coo even transforms as a dog in many visual gags.

* ''Di Gi Charat - Winter Garden'' (2006), a couple of SpinOff SliceOfLife {{OVA}}s that are set in an AlternateContinuity, starring Dejiko and Puchiko (as normal human teenagers) living a typical romance scenario where Dejiko gets a crush on a boy. This was the latest installment of the franchise in animated form until....

* ''Reiwa no Di Gi Charat'' (TBA), a newly announced ''Di Gi Charat'' anime produced by Creator/LidenFilms with Hiroaki Sakurai returning as director as well as the original cast reprising their roles.

** Both of Hikaru Usada's names can apply. "Hikaru Usada" is an obvious reference to Music/UtadaHikaru, while "Rabi~en~Rose"[[note]]Whose name is actually OfficialFanSubmittedContent, so even if there is some wordplay or referencing involved, it's not really attributable to the creators[[/note]] would be an obvious nod to the song "La Vie en Rose", as well as a likely send-up of [[Music/LArcEnCiel L'Arc~En~Ciel]].

* VerbalTic: ''So many.'' Dejiko uses "Nyo", Puchiko uses "Nyu", Piyoko uses "Pyo", "Gema", "Geba", Rinna uses "Myu", Mee-K uses "Mya", and Deji Devil uses "Devi".
