* The ''Film/CarryOn'' film series were one of the first films that did parodies. In many cases, it was because the production team wanted to make a friendly rival between films that they were parodying and see what made more in the British box office.
** ''Film/CarryOnCleo'' parodies ''Film/{{Cleopatra}}'', with elements from ''Theatre/JuliusCaesar'' and ''Theatre/AntonyAndCleopatra''.
