Night: Making some alterations to the commentary on the Let's Play bit; let's face it, X-COM's story would be epic in the hands of any semi-competent writer.

Andy Waltfeld: There used to be a paragraph here that consisted of me defending the existence of the seperate trope list for the GuavaMoment and Jade Star Let's Play campaign. I was young and stupid then, and recently realized that I was giving the one fanon preferential treatment. So now there's a Fanfic Recs page available from the main that ought to give any decent X-COM LP acceptable levels of Troper exposure. (And for those fics that aren't LPs, we've got you covered too.)

Gloating Swine: Cut the part about alien night vision, they actually don't see in the dark any better than your X-com agents do, but they do remember a human they've seen for three turns (provided they don't move), so they like to walk up to the edge of sight radius, spot you, walk back and shoot from beyond sight range (and once one alien can see you, they all can). You can do the same thing, as all weapon ranges are greater than sight range.

Night: Which is why you can be fired on by aliens you are advancing towards or just turned towards but cannot see. Riiight. They DO have better nightvision. It's been repeatedly confirmed.

Ace Of Scarabs: I've discovered a freeware game that plays vey much like X-Com: UFO: Alien Invasion.

Wascally Wabbit: Wait, wait wait. The green and black thing in the middle of the Tentaculat is a beak? I thought it was a black eye with narrow green lids.
Fading Echo: Newly enlisted goon monitoring the Terror From The Deep thread, but it's being done in a completely different style than the previous games. It's being done as a video multiplayer LP, with fanfic discouraged. Some sparks of the old style, but the only consistent character to show up so far is a recent debut-a Southern belle for the head of X-COM's Psychology Division.

Andy Waltfeld: I've noticed (thanks to the LP forum coming out of members-only status). I'm a tad wary of the soldier recruitment form screening for ADTRW posters and Tropers, though. Hopefully Guava will decide that skewering me with a Lobsterman claw will be proper penance for creeping the gang out with the LP Tropes list.

Wascally Wabbit: Believe me, you're just digging yourself a deeper and deeper hole. If they dislike whatever it is you're doing so much, just stop it and save yourself the aggro. Every other LP recommendation on here is just a link and single sentence anyway.
