Silent Hunter: Can someone fix the links on this page and the Series one? I don't know how to do it.

Discussion from The Unit

Gus: Kicking off a renaming round for this one. Preserving the name for the show, we need something for the trope.

Woops, cancel that. The show was cancelled, methinks.

Silent Hunter: Cancelled? It hasn't even started yet. The Futon Critic (which really liked the pilot) does not say it's been cancelled.

Gus: Yup, my bad. My memory conflated an article about a role on The Unit not "working out" for Amy Acker into the 'series' not working out.

Silent Hunter: The show is now in its second season. How about we call this The Squad and make this the entry for the show?

Fast Eddie: That could work, or it could go the The Squad (Series/TheUnit) path. I dropped the series, myself, after a few episodes made it clear it was yet more "terrists-is-out-to-get-us" propaganda, but someone may have something to say about it. Either way, The Squad is a perfectly cromulent name for the trope.

Silent Hunter: I'm a watcher, starting mainly because Dennis Haysbert's in it. Mind you, I can't think of many trope examples in it.

MJ 12: Most recently in just the last two episodes? Colonel Badass (Ryan, why do you have to be totally awesome?), a Batman Gambit (Ryan is awesome YET AGAIN), Forgiveness Requires Death (damn it Ryan!), and Kickthe Dog(when Jonas prepared to suicide bomb a MOSQUE to get his daughter back, that was at once the most touching and most despicable thing I have seen on television). Oh, and let's add a male version of Mama Bear in pretty much the entire cast, as well as a Kill Him Already! when Ryan tells Mack to just shoot him and get it over with. There's quite a few.

Alhazred: Now officially cancelled as of May 19th, 2009. I went and changed some stuff to reflect it.
