I believe I remember the N2 mines explicitly being a nuclear bomb in NGE.

Ununnilium: N2 stands for "non-nuclear".

Janitor: Another brutal edit. It is like I can not help myself.

Seth: I prefer it this way, it was harder to understand before.

Janitor: Thanks, Seth. I worry, sometimes, that I am stepping on people's toes.

Arivne: I have unspoilered the Niven/Ringworld shadow square/laser bit for three reasons:
(a) it wasn't really a surprise twist in the first place
(b) the original book came out back in 1970, so I think the Spoiler Policy statute of limitations applies and
(c) it falls into You Should Know This Already territory as it's been repeatedly mentioned in the sequels.

Ununnilium: Moving all the Person of Mass Destruction examples over there.

  • Though many were bad, this troper liked the Sun Crusher, a small ship that was coated in impenetrable armor that way upped the Death Star by being able to send a star supernova and wiped out star systems.

Conversation In The Main Page. (I agree, though. I also thought the conversation with Qwi Xux was hilarious. "It's called a World devistator! What did you think it was going to be used for!?" "...mining?")
