I got rid of this:
- Not just rodents - one troper's neighbor has a dog that coprophages.
- Not unusual behavior in dogs (says an editor who's had quite a few dogs over her lifetime). Anyone who's had dogs and cats at the same time will be aware of the canine fondness for "litter box crunchies".
- It's not unusual, but it's certainly not good in the long run. Coprophagy in dogs is usually due to lack of fiber or a byproduct of poor house-training. Both situations can be remedied by changes of diet and lifestyle.
