Guessmyname: The person in that picture so did that on purpose.

Tarvok: Adrian Andrews isn't even close to this trope. She dropped something once, that's it.

Trouser Wearing Barbarian: Removed Borat, because he's just a klutz. Speaking of which, do we have a trope for that?

Dentaku: I resent the current trend of dumbing down trope names. What the heck was wrong with "Dojikko"?

Anthony_H: That not all tropers (Me included) are into that anime thing, and naming tropes after obscure words or concepts doesn't really help.

Sean Tucker: HURR DURR TROPE DESCRIPTIONS SUDDENLY DON'T EXIST ANYMORE

Jesus H. Fucking Christ, how hard is it to CLICK THE GODDAMN TROPE NAME AND READ THE DESCRIPTION WHEN IT SHOWS UP? SORRY FOR CAPS, BUT YOUR UTTER ASSHATTERY IS MAKING ME RAGE HARD

Komodin: ...Clearly, you have some issues to attend to.

Wraith_Magus: I'm going to have to agree with my less diplomatically inclined fellow tropers, here. Dojikko is a Japanese archetype, and it simply is given a direct, crude translation to "cute clumsy girl", simply to appease those who think New Media Are Evil, and all anime tropes must be made into Gratuitous English. (In fact, a huge number of these Western types aren't girls, and, more importantly, aren't even cute (or at least a woobie) - this just is a dumping ground for anyone who's clumsy. Dojikko is specifically an archetype designed for suckering in audience sympathy or generating "moe" through clumsiness as one of their main character traits. (As contemptable as making being "clumsy" a driving "personality trait" is, that's exactly what this trope is about. Dojikko are characters where clumsy and cute are the reasons the character exists, and is not just another character trait.) If you strip away the Square Peg Round Trope stuff, you'd wind up with a much more overwhelmingly Japanese examples set.) This "purify the foreign influence" wave is no better than any other complaint that any other type of media type doesn't belong on TVTropes. Like with Götterdämmerung, an unusual name, in my opinion, actually makes a trope more memorable, and by being more easily remembered, it better serves its purpose of being a shared concept.

Maso Tey: I've been trying to stay out of these arguments, but . . . what Wraith_Magus said. Dojikko is a pretty specific concept. If people want a place to put other clumsy characters, we should start a page called The Klutz or something. (That said, the name Cute Clumsy Girl at least gives a general idea of the character type. The trouble is that many of the examples fail to conform even to that: they aren't cute, aren't girls, or aren't even all that clumsy.)

Meems: I don't care so much about the name, but while Dojikko is a specific concept I don't see how it's different enough from this that the tropes couldn't be merged.

copycatzero: I agree. I don't really have a stance one way or the other about which WAY they should be merged (I like dojikko, but I'm not going to fight it if the Powers That Be decide that "cute clumsy girl" wins), but it's frankly kind of dumb to have two pages with only one of them having examples. One page with alt-titles and/or a mention that you might call the trope by the other name. That being said, the dojikko page has a better description, while this page just looks like someone cut-and-pasted part of the dojikko description (and, apparently, someone just cut-and-pasted the dojikko examples into the Anime and Manga folder, because there was several that didn't belong there).
