I know this may or may not be the place for it but I'd be curious to hear YMMV-type stuff about how actual twins feel about this. I have cousins who are twins, and two of my close high school friends were twins, and this stuff kind of pissed them off because it sort of has "twins are carnival freaks" vibes.
But is he a CUTE evil overlord?About the caption... isn't Fearful Symmetry completely unrelated? It sounds like it would be applicable, yes, but the trope is completely unrelated to the twins.

That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.I'm putting this here because putting it in the entry seems to be natter to me.
"Anything You Can Do...": The entry is the B plot, and isn't fully revealed till the end. The A plot is the centipoid alien stranded -and loose on- Earth. For ten years. And it has very different customs of what constitutes proper behavior toward other intelligent life. And the first read through, if not spoilered, makes the ending a doozy of a mind screw.
Edited by Candi Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettWouldn't a set of twins be invoking this trope if they intentionally confuse people by dressing similar (or in some cases, not dressing similar), and speaking at the exact same time while saying their real names, and then arguing over who's who in a sort of (staged) Twin Banter?
Added Patty and Selma to the Simpsons example, although I noted that they've moved away from this trope over the seasons.
