There's not really a question nor is there a cut. I think it's more a downplayed example of either Instantly Proven Wrong or Immediate Self-Contradiction.

Edited by Netherman14The Vision and Mjolnir... the page is convinced he had no idea of the significance, but that seems highly unlikely. The Vision knows everything JARVIS does, and presumably a fair bit of Ultron's information. Why in heaven's name would he have such a massive gap in his knowledge? Moreover, it would make a lot more sense if he gave the hammer to Thor as a statement, as he didn't hand anything to anyone else. It seems far more likely he did it to prove a point.

Hide / Show RepliesVision is based on the personality of Jarvis, but I think even he says that Jarvis is no more — and what makes an AI more than its memory? I think it has to do with the manner in which he does it. Totally offhand, without even seeming to notice what he's done.
Also, doing it as a statement would have required him knowing beforehand that he was worthy. As it's staged, it makes more sense if he didn't realize it.
Establishing Character Moment: is the Vision admiring the New York skyline, or is it admiring its reflection in the glass? Or both (watching the movie, I only realized the latter)? Also, there's probably a trope for the latter.
Edited by GuiRitterI have just added a entry that clarifies that, despite of fan wishes, according to Word of God, the big death at the end of the movie (I won't mention whose death to avoid spoilers) is a Killed Off for Real case. See here.

Oh, that's another reason why I usually put off seeing first-run movies. It was nice to see this one the weekend it came out, but I forgot how busy pages get on first-run popular films.
"Freedom is not a license for chaos" -Norton Juster's The Dot and the Line: A Romance in Lower MathematicsPietro and Wanda hate Tony because Stark Industries munitions killed their parents and trapped them for days in the rubble of their apartment. But in the present day Wanda sees no problem with sending the Hulk on a rampage in South Africa that could’ve potentially killed as many innocent people as the Stark Industries munitions. Basically, she’s doing the same sort of thing that she hates Tony for.
Given this… which Hypocrisy trope best describes this aspect of Wanda’s character?

Do you think this Ultron stands a chance of being a Complete Monster, or is he too broken/insane/out of control for that?
(IIRC, insanity and irrationality are disqualifying factors)
I can't tell if I'm seeing things, in the party scene when Cap makes the hammer jiggle slightly Thor seems to look surprised but then says nothing happened. Was I seeing things or is this implying he's keeping the possibility of Cap's worthiness a secret?
Hide / Show RepliesIt's a joke.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them. And a bad one in my opinion. I expected Cap to use Mjolnir like his comic book counterpart is able to. I was so lloking forward seeing the others' surprised faces. If at least Tony had accused Vision of adding his own fingerprints to the hammer's fingerprint reader or Thor had suggested leaving it at some elevator to test the theory about how Vision was able to use it.
So I've noticed that this film is actually officially named "Avengers: Age of Ultron", not "The Avengers: Age of Ultron" in websites, press releases and even the poster that serves as the page image on the main works page.
Should a namespace move be performed before its May release and it ends up Trope Overdosed? Or would it be better to leave well enough alone?
Edited by ashlay Hide / Show RepliesMove it, yeah. Don't forget to take all the steps in How to Move a Page.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynmanmove from The Avengers Age Of Ultron to Avengers Age Of Ultron complete.
Discussion moved from The Avengers: Age of Ultron as requested.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWhoever knows all this stuff, can you tell me what happens with Strucker? I won't waste time expecting a death scene for Ultron because they can never top Ronan's death scene, but I'm more interested to know where Strucker ends up. Do Ultron or Captain America kill him or something? Or does he just run off?
The page says that Hawkeye gets Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch to pull a Heel–Face Turn. When was this confirmed? That was part of the fake spoilers posted on Reddit. Given the lack of credibility this source has, I think we should remove this.
Edited by DevinMeenanRegarding the Kill Em All argument: Given they don't actually die, it's not this trope. If the Reset Button gets hit or it's All Just a Dream, it doesn't really fit the scope of the trope.
Since no one is Killed Off for Real, I can't imagine it would apply.

Where's the "interrupted by killer robot bees" thing from?

The entry in the "Nightmare Fuel" index: "With only a teaser trailer to its name, Age of Ultron manages to pull one off. Near the end of the trailer, you hear a faint, high-pitched noise. After the title appears, it gets a lot louder, and a lot clearer- It's the sound of thousands of people screaming in abject horror. Yeah, this is not going to be fun." Was the troper mistaking the sounds of people at Comic-Con rejoicing for Nightmare Fuel?

Could Vision remarking that "There may be no way to make [them] trust [him]" immediately before lifting Mjolnir be a played-with version of Answer Cut?
