Theses were flagged as sexist and I admit that I don’t like marge but these are actual flaws she has.

Abusive Parents Marge is shown to be just as abusive as Homer. However she is more prone to emotional abuse then physical as seen below in

  • Perhaps the greatest example is any random episode of Season 24 where Marge will tell someone she will always love Bart even when he becomes a Future Loser.

Informed Flaw This was used for the kill gill volumes I and II That was compressed vice Marge Simpson, is worry-wart nag that continuously tells her family "no" to everything they wish to do (no matter how innocuous it seems at first glance), occasionally finds pleasure in forcing the town into shutting down stuff because she (and she alone) hates it, and has developed an In-Universe reputation as the biggest nay-sayer in town. Yet we are repeatedly told that she is an Extreme Doormat.

Playing the Victim Card This corresponds marge being the designated victim

Marge does this to a ridiculous degree in The Simpsons which has only gotten worse as the series has gone on. While in the early seasons there were episodes such as Homer’s Night Out and Two Cars In Every Garage And Three Eyes On Every Fish where, while not exactly in the wrong, Marge really wasn’t the victim the episode tries to present her as. However after Flanderization set in, during which Marge Took a Level in Jerkass, she acts unappreciated and overworked for doing things that would have gotten Homer villainized. For example, prioritizing other children’s happiness over her own.

  • Marge’s penchant for Incredibly Lame Fun is also a big part of this in the early seasons. The family would agree to do something Marge likes and the joke would be either that they find something else to do in the process or that they have a surprisingly good time while Marge finds the experience too stimulating. Later episodes would have her choosing family and romantic activities that only she would like, then getting mad and acting hurt when the others didn’t enjoy themselves.
  • The show often use Marge taking care of a sick Homer as a way to invoke The Unfair Sex during a Finding a Bra in Your Car plot Marge’s response to Homer questioning her about Luann finding her bra (it was a prank by Bart and Milhouse, but she didn’t know that) was to kick him out for daring to not trust her. Later she started openly fantasizing about Smitters after Homer called her out for thinking that spending romantic time together met doing things only she would enjoy.

Ungrateful Bitch Lisa rarely acknowledges when someone does something nice for her though mostly her family who she has a very What Have You Done for Me Lately? attitude towards. Despite being the obvious favorite to the point where Homer and Marge are willing to screw over Bart just to make it more convenient to help her she still has a massive case of Middle Child Syndrome. This is especially seen with Bart who has done numerous nice things for her to the point of making multiple Heroic Sacrifices note  which Lisa doesn’t even bother to remember as seen in "On A Clear Day I Can't See My Sister". Even as early as the first season Lisa showed this attitude in "The Crepes of Wrath" after Bart gave her a present she said it was the first unselfish thing he’d ever done completely forgetting how he defended her from being harassed by Nelson 6 episodes earlier.

  • In many cases this is a direct consequence of her status as the Only Sane Man. In Barts Not Dead she was the only one who didn’t believe that Bart met Jesus. However the was she went about warning Bart about the end results of his lie made her come across like a Smug Snake. Especially since Bart was only put the situation by not wanting to ruin her recital.

Not that I really need to respond since you're a ban-evader, but you're basically attaching Alternative Character Interpretation to the main page. These aren't tropes presented by the work, they're tropes you're perceiving in a weird attempt to demonize certain characters.

Poorly, I might add. Clean up your grammar.

  • Are you sure she didn't say "IF" Bart becomes a Future Loser?

For example, prioritizing other children’s happiness over her own.

  • Her own happiness or her own children’s happiness?

Here's a little issue I have with this entry about Marge.

  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Nowhere near the levels of Lois Griffin, but while early seasons would have Marge be more Innocently Insensitive (see Aesop Amnesia above), Flanderization has caused her to become this trope especially when dealing with her family. Anytime someone in her family chooses a new political point or religion outside of her own, even if it's more beneficial to them or even society as a whole, Marge will stop to go to great lengths to prevent this.

Doesn't this example actually make her a Well-Intentioned Extremist? She said she was worried about Lisa's soul in that same episode, so how was Marge being selfish?
