openthis website Web Original
I remember sometime back in june, or july, I used this website (I think it started with either "w" or "l", and you could make "sites" which were really just pictures/gifs, text, and sound. I know one was about the nes classic (or something) and you could change the colors, and effects of said pictures, an text.
openA Cheesy Movie about High School Film
There's this movie I saw early in my life, it had a group of kids who were studying to pass school.
There's also a moment from the movie where one of the adult women asks a girl whose covered in blood "Isn't that your blood?" and another where a girl went into labor during the big test.
Edited by C6-E9openHistorical Artifact Teen Show??? Live Action TV
I can't remember this one show that I saw with my family, I think I saw it on tv around 2007-2009. The show had 3 teenagers as the main characters, one was a wild blond haired boy who's parent's died and had to go live with distinct relatives, another was a brown or black haired boy who the blond boy had to live with, the last main character was a girl who I can't remember too well. The main theme was about history(it also could have been sci-fi) or artifacts. I can only recall snippets of the episodes, one being very specific;the black haired teen asked the blond teenager "do you drive," or "can you drive?" and there was a flashback to a young blond haired boy climbing in the front seat of his parents jeep and crashing it into rocks. Another memory is the three teens are looking for something/someone or they were being chased/followed in a greenhouse, but another person outside the greenhouse put sleeping gas or poison gas in the sprinkler system, I can't remember too much from this memory but I know one of the teens or two of them passed out from it and the screen might of went blurry.

openA scary movie with walking trees Film
Hey guys, this question is for my dad. He says that when he was a kid, he was really afraid of a film featuring walking trees. I thought I solved this and it was the movie "From Hell it Came," but a few details he recalls do not match up. My dad may be mixing up several different films in his head, maybe you can help? Here is what I do know: my dad was born in 1954, and he saw this movie on tv, not in a theater, when he was fairly young, a preteen. He can't remember if it was in color or black and white. When I showed him the tree Monster in "From Hell it Came", he said that Monster LOOKED like what he remembered, but there was more than one tree . He said the human characters were hiding in a house or building and a bunch of trees circled around the building, blocking their escape. He also said the trees walked into an electrified fence, killing them. Sound familiar to anyone? Imdb was no help. Thanks!
openAtmospheric adventure game Videogame
There was this adventure game I read about years ago; the graphics looked like an animated movie and the characters were the kind of strange little figures that you see in old Russian kids' shows. Anyone know what I'm talking about?
There was no dialogue as far as I know, and the puzzles that you needed to solve were apparently pretty darn tricky sometimes.
EDIT: Also, I think that this◊ picture is from the game in question. At any rate, the style of the pic definitely resembles the design style from the game.
Edited by MichaelKatsuroopenBritish Tv show in Mid-80s
OK, this has been bothering me for years...
There was a TV show on British TV in the mid-80s - probably around 1985. In it, a lady was in hospital and had to have her feet amputated, but during the surgery they had to remove both legs at the knee.
When the doctor broke the news to her after the operation, she said, "Are you trying to make a monkey out of me?"
I'm pretty sure the Dr was played by Leonard Fenton (who ridiculously enough played a character called Dr Legge on a TV show called Eastenders around the same time...)
I would love the know the name of this show. Does anyone remember it at all?
openRandom Movie About The Devil Film
I'm looking for this one movie from around the late 80's/early-mid 90's. It's about this one chick and this dude who try to stop the devil from taking the souls of people. He also apparently takes human form as this corrupt business man of sorts. There was this one freaky scene where he encountered a police officer and he turns him back into a child, then a baby, then a fetus, and then nothing. I remember seeing clips of it in this fan made music video for the song "Devil's Dance" by Metallica. I last saw in 2013 but it has since been taken down. Can anyone help me find it?
openfilm from the 1980s Anime
This is immensely annoying, because I managed to track down this and the other piece I'm asking about three or four years ago, but I've lost the file in which I wrote down their details, so I need to find them again.
The first one is an animated film shown on British TV several times during the 1980s. The film looks rather like a Japanese animé but I believe it is British. A young boy aged about eight is stranded on his onw on a planet where there are mobile plants, one of which I think acts as a boat for him. A party of people on a spaceship are coming to rescue him but there is a lot of political infighting amongst them. Eventually we learn that there is a time loop involved, and that one of the people coming to save the little boy is himself as an adult.
openseries about Native Americans, circa 1980 Live Action TV
This is immensely annoying, because I managed to track down this and the other piece I'm asking about three or four years ago, but I've lost the file in which I wrote down their details, so I need to find them again
This one is a live-action US TV series, made in the late 1970s or very early 1980s and possibly in black and white. It was called something similar to People of the Wind, but that's not quite right. It was a drama about life in a Native American Plains village riound about the time the white man first arrived.
In the episode I remember best, they meet their first white man, a lost French trapper with a heavy beard. They have never seen someone with so much facial hair before. You get a lovely romantic shot of tipis glowing like lanterns in the night, then a close-up of one in which there are about ten people all snoring in different keys. Then the youngest boy gets up and sneaks round the edge of the tent to the Frenchman and feels his beard to see if it's real, and after him the rest of his family all do the same, one by one in ascending order of age. There was also an episode which had to do with a boy raised by wolves. I believe there were six or eight episodes made, four of which were shown on British tv in the early '80s.
openheard this in 2013 Radio
I remember hearing some song on the radio after the wreck it ralph song when I was in the back of a car. I think the station was either radio disney, or kids place live. I don't know who it was, but I think the main lyric was: "good ideas" followed by "saw/do ____" something like that. It was fairly slow, and I'm not sure what genre it was, but it sounded like a mix of pop, and a chill trap song or something. Does anybody know what it was?
resolved OffTheRails example without a link or works page Web Original
The trope page for Off the Rails has an example that does not have a work page or a link to it and I cannot find it anywhere because it has such a generic name. Does anybody know where to find the series that this example is referring to? The only other information that I have is that it is a web video series because the link to the nonexistent work page says web video.
The players manage to very quickly break their first quest during one of the early episodes of Role Play. Having retrieved a magical glass orb and an Infinity –1 Sword they attempt to have them identified before returning them to the quest giver. Since formal identification turned out to be too expensive one player decided to learn more about the orb by dropping it on the ground to see if it smashes. It did. Having failed the quest the players decided that they might as well ignore the quest giver and wander off with the powerful weapon. The GM sends an assassin after the party who seemed to be powerful enough to have killed them all in a fair fight, but they somehow manage to trip her and then pin her underneath an unconscious party member whilst impaling her through the arm. The following week the GM gave up on heavily planned quests and kept preparations brief since it was clear that his players were too unpredictable to railroad.
openCorny show I can't seem to find the name of Live Action TV
Live action show about a high school or middle school student that keeps having sci-fi scenarios happen to him. Probably from the late 90's or early 2000's. Aired in Canada. Here are some episodes I remember.
1) He orders a machine from a newspaper. When he gets the machine it is just a decorated cardboard box. He goes to the newspaper office and complains. The newspaper employee shows him that the fine print of the ad says that the machine may not look as advertised or do the things the ad saids it can. The employee then smugly saids that everything that their paper saids is true (turns out the newspaper makes things that are written in it true somehow). Some time later they are asking the protagonist how many people should die in a story they are writing. The employee thinks it should be eight because it sounds sadder to him. He asks the protagonist the question like this "what do you think sounds sadder, fourteeen or eiiiight."
2) The protagonist's older sister meets a woman that makes beauty products. At some point the sister willingly allows herself to have a plastic mask affixed to her face (she also wears a blonde wig, and maybe a pink dress that matches the woman's aswell). She looks like she is in a Halloween costume. The brother narrates "when some one loves you they'll sometimes call you a doll, but now I'm afraid that [woman's name] is trying to make my sister into her plaything." The mask will break if the sister thinks too hard. The brother decides to give her a math problem to solve (as she has a love for math). She does the math problem, the mask cracks and she peels it off.
Edited by YamopenTv show about sisters running their fathers business Live Action TV
A few years ago I watched this show about two sisters (one pretty and one ugly) who had to come together and run their fathers fashion/clothing business (i think its clothing related) and they didnt like each other very much. Details are a bit fuzzy but ive been trying to find this show again ever since!
openAnarchist life Film
About 12 years ago I watched a movie that I barely remember and have not been able to track down. The details are very fuzzy, but there were a bunch of (I think) young adults living together in a ramshackle two-story home or possibly a group of homes. Pretty sure they were anarchists but they might have been hippies, I think it was set in the 80s though. Some of them have young children. There is a line in it that talks about how raising the children completely rules-free is going to mess them up and they're all going to become CE Os or accountants or something "begging someone (or paying a dominatrix maybe?) to tell them no."
openDisturbing Kids Show Where Main Character Takes Out His Eyes Live Action TV
I watched a lot of stuff on ABC/BBC as a kid back in the late 90's, but no one but me seems to know of this show. I remember watching a show done with puppets like The Muppets that had a few characters that were animals like dogs or cats that lived in a forest I think. The big defining detail about this show was the main character (who i am pretty sure was a white wolf or something) that had the ability to remove his eyes and send them off like a bird into the sky, and they would show him stuff from really far away. It was used to help his friends get out of danger and the like, and I think later in the series he was able to do the same with his hands. It never really bothered me as a kid, but when I got a bit older I really started to wonder how something like that was approved for a kid's series. It has been bugging me for years that I can't remember the name, especially since I would actually like to watch it again (believe it or not, but the show was actually quite calming and pleasant for the most part). Is there at least someone out there who knows what the hell I'm talking about? It would be really nice to know that at least one other person came across this strange show.
Edited by ChexpetopenMini series about singing animals
Ok, so between 1994 and 2002 there was a mini series, from what I remember about short music videos about singing animals, can't remember the name but I'm sure I saw it on either teletoon or ytv. From what I remember this show featured this: -A hippy lion singing about how the world needs to change, -An arastafarian alligator (if I spelled that right) singing about his love for Africa - a waitress hippo singing about how she wants payback and get out of her job due to some scam - a tap dancing flamingo singing about how great his life is - a vampire bat girl singing about how she wants to see the sun and escape the dark castle she lives in - a news anchor turtle singing about how great the weather is - a club owner gorilla singing about how hot he is - a Jessica rabbit clone cat girl singing about something I don't remember And if I'm not mistaken, two female chickens, not sure if they were sisters or lesbians but there was a scene where they were both in wedding dresses running down the stairs waving. I can't find this show at all. Please help
openLife is a Dating Sim Anime
At one point, when i was looking at the Anime Image Source List, I came across an anime that I wanted to check out, but now I can't remember the name of it. All I remember is that the story involves a main character who would, at various points in his life, be forced to pick from a small list of choices on how to proceed, as if he was playing a Dating Sim (It's kind of like Date A Live, except instead of the multi-choice list being Kotori's method for giving Shido 'advice', this guy's life is run by it).
openChristian fantasy series? Literature
I remember a series with four books in it that had some kids travel through different dimensions/worlds. One book had a girl creating miniature people with four arms instead of two and she tries to help them but it doesn't turn out very well. There's a shortcut to avoid the long way around, but you need to be the setting's equivalent of a Christian to survive the shortcut due to it being through Heaven essentially.
