Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
Or, alternately, maybe Firefox shouldn't have a Useful Notes page. I'm not sure what purpose it serves.
Yeah, I don't see why a web browser needs a useful notes page in the first place. It doesn't help us understand media, far as I can tell, and just seems out of place in general
My troper wallUseful Notes generally are written to help us understand media, but they're also written to help "debunk common media stereotypes," and to that end I think a page like UsefulNotes. The Internet (or something for Internet browsers maybe; obviously I mean something other than the index-like article on Main. The Internet) could be useful.
There seems to be a new-ish sub-genre of horror movies that focuses on the terrors of the Internet, like meeting strangers or being cyber bullied (I shudder as I write this). I'm talkin' films like Film/Unfriended (2015), Megan is Missing (2011), and Cyberbully (2011 and 2015).
But yeah, something as specific as Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox is too specific.
Edited by WaterBlap Look at all that shiny stuff ain't they prettyShould I cutlist the Mozilla Firefox page then?
Edited by TheRadGeekActually, can someone else cutlist the Mozilla Firefox page? I can't access the cutlist yet.
Edited by TheRadGeekIf we're creating a new page that the Firefox page could redirect to, then we shouldn't cutlist the page. It's a bit early in the discussion, imo, to cutlist it.
Look at all that shiny stuff ain't they prettyCutlisting the page seems a bit premature. I'm not sure what the protocol for removing a Useful Note is, but I doubt that this thread so far is enough. I agree that it seems unnecessary and too specific, though.
Edited by GnomeTitanPart of the point of a Useful Notes page is to accurately depict the the subject in media. Including internet browsing, especially with Hollywood' 'Computers are Magical' nonsense they keep kicking up.

Mozilla Firefox has a Useful Notes page. Shouldn't Google Chrome have one too? I just found and added a Scunthorpe Problem example related to Google Chrome.
