Well, that series is horribly namespaced. Everything's in Main/, and there's a redirect from Series/ back to Main/.
Since Degrassi is only a set of Live-Action TV shows (to my knowledge), we wouldn't use Franchise/ (which is only for works that exist across media like Pokémon or Harry Potter)
So, you would want Series.Degrassi as the disambiguation / series page, with Series.Degrassi The Next Generation, Series.Degrassi Junior High, and Series.Degrassi High being pages for the three sub-series.
If there were a film or animation adaptation, then the main page would be on Franchise.Degrassi, and the respective adaptations would be in the correct namespaces. The rest of the above statement would still be accurate.
There's also another issue. After looking into it a little more, I found out there's the 80's version called Degrassi (The Kids Of Degrassi Street), then there's the other spinoffs and then the most recent one called Degrassi The Next Generation, which got officially shortened to Degrassi. Since we can't put the disambig. in Franchise/ and there's three possible usages of just Degrassi, do you have suggestions?
Use whichever year the original series came out in. So, if it started in 1983, you would use a page Series.Degrassi1983 - displayed as Degrassi (1983) - as the page for the series. Use the full titles Degrassi The Next Generation, Degrassi Junior High, etc., for the individual series page.
# Series.Degrassi will be disambig.
# Series.Degrassi[Year] will be original
# The Next Generation and the other spinoffs will in the Series namespace as well.
EDIT: Oops. I just realized that the original and the Next Generation are compiled into the current Degrassi page. Do I split that page or leave it as is? If I do split it, how do I distinguish because old and new series?
EDIT 2: Good lord, this series is confusing. As The Other Wiki says, the order of the family is:
- The Kids Of Degrassi Street (1979-1986)
- Degrassi Junior High (1987-1989)
- Degrassi High (1989-1991)
- Then a film called Schools Out
- Degrassi The Next Generation 2001-present (which got shortened to Degrassi in 9th season)
EDIT 3: Hmm, how do we work with this.....
Edited by Indigo12ash Momentum, a function of mass and velocity, is conserved between portals. In layman's terms: speedy thing goes in, speedy thing comes out.Disambig in Series.Degrassi
The individual components in : Series. The Kids Of Degrassi Street, Series.Degrassi Junior High, Series.Degrassi High, Film.Schools Out, Series.Degrassi The Next Generation
There is no point in having a disambiguation if all of them are part of the same franchise and the franchise has its own page. In that case, you should just redirect to the Franchise page.
Unless I'm missing something and there's more than one work called Degrassi.
Rhymes with "Protracted."So.... Franchise.Degrassi and then the rest of the of them in their correct namespaces?
Momentum, a function of mass and velocity, is conserved between portals. In layman's terms: speedy thing goes in, speedy thing comes out.Looks like it, since there's stuff in Series/ and in Film/.
Thank you.... This franchise is going to be a pain in the ass. How do I recruit help?
EDIT: Another question, where do I index Franchise.Degrassi?
Edited by Indigo12ash Momentum, a function of mass and velocity, is conserved between portals. In layman's terms: speedy thing goes in, speedy thing comes out.^Ambiguity Index, by the look of the rather disambiguation-like page.

Earl of Sandvich just removed all the franchise items from there - we'll have to take a look on Index-Index now, methinks.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanCrap..... I just added the Franchise page to the Ambiguity Index. Hmm. Would it fit in the Series Franchise page? It sorta fits in The 'Verse, except with a ton of You Look Familiar because the names changed between Series. The Kids Of Degrassi Street and the rest of the series and other movies I found out existed with the same characters from Degrassi.
EDIT: Just removed it from ambig.

Okay, just added The Kids of Degrassi Street onto the Works Needing Tropes and Needs Wiki Magic Love page. Does that page or the franchise page qualify for any other indexes?
Edited by Indigo12ash Momentum, a function of mass and velocity, is conserved between portals. In layman's terms: speedy thing goes in, speedy thing comes out.I thought about it some more. Is there any way that Fast Eddie could create a namespace index for Franchise/ like there is for Laconic and Playing With wiki?
Would that be different from the Series Franchise or The 'Verse? I'm not shooting your idea down, Dark, it sounds good, please explain a little more.
Momentum, a function of mass and velocity, is conserved between portals. In layman's terms: speedy thing goes in, speedy thing comes out.I mean, a namespace index automagically generated.
This is the one for the Playing With namespace, for reference.
Oh, I get it now. That could work.
Momentum, a function of mass and velocity, is conserved between portals. In layman's terms: speedy thing goes in, speedy thing comes out. Those are auto-generated; you can tell because creating an individual one for, say Yoda/ wouldn't be worth it. Here is the one for Franchise/.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.
Is there a franchise page for the Degrassi family? If not, how would I go about creating it and what would I name it? I don't know too much about the series but it would be nice to have some sort of page to link to when talking about the franchise in general. All I know is that there's Degrassi The Next Generation, Degrassi Junior High, and Degrassi High. Are there others I'm missing out of that list that we have on this site?
