Also I've done this. Like, lots of this. Even have a Keine build that can eat history, and a Koishi build that people can't remember.

RE:D&D.
This may sound strange, but I'd probably make Byakuren as a bard of all things. Favored perform is oratory, of course. Bards get a lot of the bread and butter combat buffs (haste, stat buffs, blink, etc.), and other such wonderful things as Glibness (Which may or may not fit Byakuren, depending on your interpretation of her. Plus Bard song, of course (For buffs and/or fascination).
If only there were a class for Cleric/Favored soul like ultimate Magus exists for sorcerer/wizard, it'd be perfect for Sanae. In lieu of that, Contemplative (complete divine) on top of Cleric could work well for her.
Risen martyr for Miko! >_>
There's the verminlord class for Wriggle, naturally.
I'm trying to think of a more minor character that isn't obvious (Mystia and the other musicians are easily pegged as bards, etc.)
I write some fanfiction. Satori's Tale is done... but I'm not. What I though was picture of Youmu. What I got were feels which I didn't think I would get.
But wait, assuming that this would take between Miko's sealing and unsealing, would Miko not look the same as she does now?
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru! As for Bardkyuren... nah, most of her buffs are self-only, which is more of the cleric's thing. You can make a cleric that's terrifying in melee by specialising in self-buffs, while still being able to throw around big lasers and stuff. Plus a full caster is better at crafting magic items like her scroll.

Waggy nooo!
Forever liveblogging the AvengersShe's okay in the end, though! Looks like she's fine with being a projectile.
It seems she's giving a lecture worthy of the Yama.
Then again the Yama never lectured people while forcing them to be underwater.
I think thats what happened anyway.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersShe's strong in water; that's why she can lecture those very strong people.
Check out my fanfiction!Agh, I've wanted to redo Eo SD so badly now because of that. Nothing against my co-commentator, yes, but I feel generally the same way. The problem is that what I've wanted to say about those topics is already out there, and I doubt people would appreciate me redoing that just because I can do better now.
I can't believe I didn't recognize you right off the bat. How's it going?
I thought Hakurouken was the wakizashi.
I was intending to do this, except for plot elements such as Resurrection Butterfly or Imperishable Night's End. I'd need to time my commentary such that I not only get to that topic in time, but that I also have the time to talk about it. I've gotten better with this, but I have missed on occasion (lookin' at you, Marisa).
As for music, I'm trying to use as many genres as possible (instrumental, of course). I hope that if I do use all mellow, quiet music, I won't put my audience to sleep, ha.
And as for the PC-98 games, I'm really not sure how I'd get that done, due to A) the disparity in canon between that and the Windows games, and B) the overwhelming lack of information about the characters. I'll note that this is the second request for PC-98 stuff, though. Who knows?
Thanks for your feedback, guys.
Because playing by yourself is just plain boring. Finally played Scarlet Weather Rhapsody for reals.
Took me a while to adjust to how aggressive the CPU can be even on easy. Also, story mode is a pain and a slog, but thankfully, you only need to do it once to unlock Iku and Tenshi. Stages? Eh, who cares?
Get past those things though, and hey, it's a lot of fun. Fast paced and bullets.
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.Huh, I found SWR to be fairly easy after a while. After about 3 story modes or so.
Conception is sin Birth is pain Life is toil Death is inevitableIt isn't hard, it's a pain. I could go ahead and beat as many stories as I can, but I won't because it's not fun. The story battles are 80% spell cards, which translates to "the enemy spams one of their super moves and doesn't recoil", so the battles basically desolve into firing projectiles from afar. and dodging their attacks.
Which I guess is like the shooters, but when translated into fighting game format, it becomes more monotonous and tedious.
Also, Iku and Tenshi have a tendency to juggle you if you get hit during their spell cards, meaning that I suffered a lot of cheap deaths due to being rendered helpless.
Arcade mode is fun though.

Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.Speaking of Scarlet Weather Rhapsody, I'm looking for people to run through SWR and voice their opinions and stories about how they came across Touhou. Essentially an improved IaMP 101.
As I type this, the slots available are: Reimu, Sakuya, Youmu, Remilia, Yukari, Yuyuko, Suika, Reisen, Aya, Iku, Tenshi.
The characters that have footage but are missing commentary are: Marisa, Alice, Komachi.
Some general guidelines if you're interested in participating:
- Normal difficulty only. Don't skip dialogue; give each line a couple of seconds, as if you were reading it.
- Commentary doesn't have to relate to SWR. In fact, I'd prefer it if you told what you think of Touhou as a whole- the characters, the lore, the Compendium, your favorites, whatever you want.
- Keep it clean. Maybe that was a little obvious, though.
- The endings are going to be cut as per ZUN's request, so if you're going to talk through that, just be aware the video's going to cut away to something else.
If you are interested, either drop me a PM and I'll explain the general process, or just click here. The first screen should explain everything.

Because playing by yourself is just plain boring. There's the verminlord class for Wriggle, naturally.
I don't think either of those are in the books I usually keep on reference (For the Curious: Core, Complete Warrior/Adventurer/Arcane/Divine, Monster Manual I & III). There's a Vermin Lord monster in Monster Manual III, but I've never seen the class. I'll look them up, though, If I get that far.
I'll tell you what's thrown me for a loop: the rest of the Myouren crew, not for classes but for races. Ichirin & Unzan are easy enough (Just make Unzan an Air Elemental or Storm Elemental), as is Minamitsu if you ignore that Drowned exist (which is what Minamitsu really should be, but makes for a pretty bad "hero" or even generally amicable character, what with the Always Chaotic Evil and the constant magical drowning aura that can't be turned off). Rakshasa could work for Shou if you ignore the "Always Lawful Evil" part, but I've got nothing for Nazrin or Kyouko. I'm thinking instead of trying to replicate Touhou characters 1 to 1 here, I'll just make a cadre of unconnected Monster Adventurers to follow Byakuren (Byakuren running a monastery on the outskirts of town where she collects various monstrous races and tries to habilitate them into civilized society is a general concept that's easy enough to work with).
I make video games! Or plan to, anyway.I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with making some of Byakuren's followers evil. It's sort of a plot point that they don't all actually agree with her teachings of human/youkai harmony. And alignments aren't meant to be so restrictive that they prevent characters from being amiable at times.

Also, isn't it Byakuren's mission to prove that supposedly Always Chaotic Evil youkai aren't always evil? If that's the case, then having them as Drowned or Rakshasa or whatever would still work (although I've never played D&D, so I don't know if it would work as far as game mechanics are concerned).

The Living Guildpact rules that coffee is an acceptable substitution for rest as specified in subsection … whatever.I'd say Eirin is a good example of high-functioning Lawful Evil.
Fundamentally youkai as a group would necessarily be considered "Always Evil" under D&D rules, that's just a metaphysical fact of their existence. They exist to be in conflict and to create conflict.
Oh, didn't realize one 1 from the universe. Reimu, Marisa, and Sanae seem to be willing to team up with people, but they are pretty straight forward people. Their idea of solving problems is to beat it until it gets solved.
I would probably go with Komachi. She seems team friendly and is very strong. I don't think the other touhous are all that team friendly, unless they are the leader.
Everything is relative.I was rereading an older section of the thread to see our conversation on the original FMW game, and found this [1]
Bocaj, I am sorry for getting snippy with you 3 years ago. I doesn't seem like I apologized at the time, but I really am sorry.
Finally, I can forget this long-held grudge and forgive you.
At last, my heart is set free.
By which I mean, I appreciate it and also did not actually have a long-held grudge or freed heart.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersSo your heart is not free? That seems unfortunate.
The key has not been found, the chains persist.
These things happen.
Forever liveblogging the Avengers
Nice thoughts on Katana Moonsister, Clarste! Sounds plausible.
Well, as I said, the context is just-for-fun, completely what you want it to be.
That said, their willingness to do team work with other people may be in question.
Oh, definitely! But remember, one of the only restrictions of the team is "only one from each universe". So, no Touhou Teams.
Haha, another "job" for good old photographer/journalist/stalker/Wind God/Elite Tengu Warrior/ninja Aya . Kasen might have won the Superpower Lottery, but Aya won the Job Lottery! (EDIT: Haha, fittingly, kinda ninja'd by True Shadow ^^)
Yuuka is Captain Hero? Sounds plausible ^^.
