Troper Updates II, Part II

And thus 2017 begins.

As a troper, one of my goals is to launch at least two new tropes. After the premature death of my latest draft, I have had a very difficult time encouraging myself to try another sponsor.

2016 didn't even have good video games.

Nothing special came out of it...

That's why the only three games I got were from previous years (Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon and A Link Between Worlds from 2013, plus Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate from 2015). And the ones I'm planning to get next are circa 2011.

I thought I won't be seeing my arcade friend anymore when the arcade that I frequent where I met him was closed down, but some random search leads to his Twitter and he replied to my tweets. Thank goodness....

I believe today's the last day for my professors to post grades from the fall semester. So if I'm not wrong about that, I should have all my grades by 11:59 tonight

So a couple weeks ago I went to a friend's local show, and for some reason they raffled off a pair of NBA tickets (Celtics vs. Utah Jazz, home game), which I ended up winning. I'm not normally much of a sports person - I was joking about how everything I know about basketball I learned from NBA Jam, Space Jam, and Teen Wolf *, which is only a slight exaggeration. I'm glad I came because I had a fun time and it's a pretty easy game to get into, particularly if you're there with a friend who follows it a bit more.

• ^note  super-lengthy side-note: upon noticing that two of the three of these pieces of basketball-related media have the word "Jam" in their titles, I had this non-hilarious idea for a blog post where I rate things with the word "Jam" in their names entirely on how prominently they feature basketball - starting out with NBA Jam and Space Jam before quickly getting totally absurd with things like The Jam, strawberry jam, Jamaica, and James Earl Jones

So I've ended up being headhunted by another security company with better hours and pay. The optimistic date of when I should be working by Saturday

Officially a homeowner now, and it seems that I have reached the point in life where I'm seriously looking at the stuff hardware stores are selling.

Drunk on vodka, wearing my Russian fur hat, and listing to Radio Vladivostok from GTA 4 on youtube. Life is good.

The hols got me feeling ennui, as I wait for my scores. I think I'm gonna fail some classes though.

Just finished monetizing my recent You Tube videos, and choosing where ad breaks go. Hey, a guy's gotta make money on the side, right? My job don't pay much, and the 50 cents a day average I'm getting for my You Tube vids now sure ain't nice. :(

I'm hyped for the Nintendo Switch presentation. Thursday 11 PM EST - so it's Friday early morning for Europeans and those more eastward.

I can't wait to see it.

I'm almost done with my work for the night. I just need to make sure this email to a professor who needs a proofreader, where I go on for a whole paragraph about how great my editing skills are, doesn't have any typos...

My GPA's dropped down to 1.43 fuck me up inside

I really need to be held to a schedule to complete all the work I have to do this weekend, so I'm going to post my checklist here so I'll be more motivated. I'll things off once I complete them

It's finally Friday. My trying week is over with. I feel like I can relax a little.

I feel like this week went by too fast. But then again my sense of time has been screwy.

I'm finally getting caught up with Bravely Default. I got the sequel a while ago to motivate me to finish the first one.

I heard the second is pretty good, even if it's not all that different, it's still enjoyable.

I broke the 50,000-word barrier. :)

After a very frustrating Internet glitch that happened in one of my latest edits (the details are in the edit reason I left in the page history of Why Fandom Can't Have Nice Things), I have decided to stay away from the wiki side until my Internet service improves or I get connected elsewhere with a faster browsing. I have already fixed the mistake by restoring the deleted part in that article, but I'm sick of making myself look like a vandal because of the incompetence of a service that refuses to act efficiently. Last year it was because of a low-memory laptop, but now it's happening to a PC that had an optimal Internet connection until now. I'm really sorry for the inconvenience.
