I would easily rank Pulp Fiction over anything post Jackie Brown. I haven't seen Kill Bill Vol. 2, Django Unchained or The Hateful Eight, though.
I do agree with James that in terms of Christmas comedies, I prefer Christmas Vacation. I do still like A Christmas Story, but I've seen it to death. I actually made a pledge to myself not to watch it for at least ten years, because I'm so sick of it.
Haven't seen Django yet, but I've seen the rest. They're all worth seeing, but none of them hold a candle to Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown.

A new AVGN episode already?!
A little better than the previous episode. I think the main source of humor from his foul-mouthed rants these days is the fact he's doing all this with a young child upstairs.
Next episode is episode 150. I wonder if he has anything special planned....
With all the memes about women choosing a bear over a man, Hollywood might wanna get on an 'East of the Sun and West of the Moon' adaptationWas wondering when the Nerd would tackle wrasslin.

Why do I never hear of these urban legends until someone like James does a video on it?

Wow, that must be a pretty good video game.
That second AVGN appearing in the reflection on the Asteroids cabinet was genuinely creepy.
^^ I did notice that, and that was creepy.
I've enjoyed this series, but I'm curious just how far he's going to take the gag. I was actually worried he'd drag it out to much and it'd be dull but the Nerd went from 0 to crazypants fairly quickly so at the moment it's working out of me. I like that it's done as a found footage style film instead of the style of his usual Nerd antics, it's a nice change of pace and very appropriate, given the subject matter.
x3 I loved that moment. The first time I watched it, I thought my mind was playing tricks on me, so I rewound to that moment, and I got a big grin on my face. That's great filmmaking, when little details are in the background and you notice things you didn't before.
Based on this footage, I find this game to be lousy. Graphics is poor and indecisive on focus. Too much bright flashing lights, and the 8-bit music is not incentive to continue to play any further. Right now, Virtual Boy seems more enjoyable than this (at least the graphics are clear). It's a terrible game. Not sure why the Nerd is addicted to this. He should do what he normally does. Smash it to bits for being a waste of material and toss it in the bin.
EDIT:
Hmmmm.....
I could have sworn that post above me wasn't there before. Ah well, time to go to Twitch Plays Pokemon Red and read about the infamous Bloody Sunday.

Well, I'm not sleeping tonight. Good life choices, me.
It's easy to forget James knows his way around cinematography sometimes, but he is good at leaving a mark when it comes to things like this. Can't wait to see how this concludes.
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaEhhhh... I would say you'll be disappointed because Part 5 is the conclusion. The next video is the Angry Video Game Nerd Episode 150, which is all five parts stitched into one...
There is however an extended ending to Part 5, as well as The Stinger
Actually there was a little addition at the end. The owner of the storage facility shows up, finds the cameras, and Polybius, and presumably, goes through the same stuff The Nerd did.
With all the memes about women choosing a bear over a man, Hollywood might wanna get on an 'East of the Sun and West of the Moon' adaptationI thought most of it was genuinely kinda suspenseful but then James overdid it with a jumpscare. And then he went ahead and pulled a second jumpscare in the full length ending. Not that jumpscares are inherently bad, mind, but I felt like here it was kind of cheap.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?I agree 100%. The "scariness" of the video (it didn't actually scare me, but I can see how it could disturb more sensitive viewers) came from suspending your disbelief and pretending that everything that happened was real. The jumpscares at the end throw all that away by confirming that it's all a prank.
Yeah, but it worked so well destroying the facade was probably for the best.
I knew going in that it wasn't real. For one thing, the same warehouse was visited by Mike and Ryan a few months prior. So I just sat back and enjoyed the ride.
Absolutely loved this episode. It came out at a time when I was convinced that AVGN was getting stale, disproving my concerns. The thing I like the most about these is James' acting. I mean, he started out as a nerd yelling at games, and now I feel he could star in an actual movie (no, this doesn't count) and do a decent job. At the very least, he pulls off slow-burning insanity and obsession pretty convincingly. I'm almost certain that the inspiration for this was Oculus, which, if you liked this episode, you should totally watch.

Nonsense is better than no sense at all.
I've said before that I found the behind-the-scenes production, and Wells' trouble making the film, more interesting than the actual film "Citizen Kane".
Yeah, "A Christmas Story" isn't anything special. I will say this though, a sure-fire way to appreciate it is to look at the dreaded sequel.
