And then there was silencePart of me wonders if I killed the thread with that post.
Part of me hopes so. Damn waste of time. It isn't even consistently fun anymore; 's just a chore to try and keep up with it.
If somebody did make a spinoff and it actually lasted, that'd be awesome. :/ I should find another GM to hand it off to, but I don't know who to trust who's as stubborn as me. And then it occurs to me to wonder why I care about whether it lasts.
I am way, way too invested in the fucking thing.

i care but i'm restless, i'm here but i'm really gone, i'm wrong and i'm sorry, babyI like the Arena, and you shouldn't really be giving up. Perhaps you can hand it to two GMs for fun!
I honestly want to be a mod at TV Tropes. Although it's a lot of responsibility to clash with my personal life, at least I can have fun maintaining order.
I do follow the ban appeal thread. I like to read it to have a deeper understanding of how tropers should handle the rules.
Being a mod is not all about bossing people around. It's about more on maintaining order and disciplining people who are new to the place. As a (former) mod at a Wikia site, I have an idea of what a mod should and should not do. I retired from the Wikia completely because I was having a fair deal of issues. Now that they're gone, I believe I can try it out in another site.

Creator of the Avatar Arena and its Discord server.Do you follow the ban appeal thread? If not, you certainly should before saying that.

Boss people around for five years and see how you feel then. I'd think about wanting to be a mod if I didn't already neglect my actual life so much. Case in point: I haven't started either of those responses I mentioned, and two printed copies of each are due in forty minutes.
I read some of it now and then. It's a modest education.

i care but i'm restless, i'm here but i'm really gone, i'm wrong and i'm sorry, babyI don't think I'd want to be a moderator for a site the size of TV Tropes just because it seems big enough that there'd always be something needing attention.
Of course, being a mod on a smaller forum, like HH, has comes with its own share of frustration, mainly because the community is so tightly knit that most issues requiring mod intervention take the form of interpersonal drama, usually involving at least one person I consider a friend. Thankfully it doesn't happen that often, but it can be a real mess when it does.
Heapers’ HangoutOf course, abuses of power can be fun, if done sparingly.
I remember one time Bobby G took this thread for a "ride" by moving it to like 5 different subforums within 10 minutes.
Heapers’ HangoutI'd make an absolutely shit mod. Just saying.
simple asI'm sure I wouldn't make a good mod, but on the other hand I can think of people who'd be worse.
Stupid doomed timeline...Can't be worse than this site's mods

i keep saying i'll post on hh
