Oda also joked that if Doflamingo ever removed his sunglasses this happens◊.
The Unofficial One Piece Podcast hosts have said, at least half-jokingly, that things like Whole Cake Island's Red Wedding scenario stem from one of their number getting Oda hooked on Game of Thrones.
Well there goes my Judge Doom head canon.
A OP thought that occurred to me while watching a Let's Play of persona 5 (yes, really): remember the "Righteous Jurors" from Enies Lobby, who had a One-Word Vocabulary of "GUILTY!" and were stated to be death row inmates who got a stay of execution in exchange for taking as many people down with them as possible? I wonder if they were supposed to be a satire of Japan's ridiculously corrupt court system, which, if you didn't know, is completely and utterly biased in favor of the prosecution.

Read the latest chapter again and... Wow...
I was so ready to make jokes about Judge, including photoshopping a mug with the words "Judge's Tears" and make a post about serving Judge's delicious tears. But now I just feel bad. I mean sure the dude had it coming and deserves all what's happening to him. But he just looks so sad and pathetic. Now I'm not so sure if I want Sanji to Diable Jambe his ass now! I mean would it even be worth it? It'd be like kicking a wheel-chaired bound man who just got knocked down at this point.
It's weird how I'm feeling pity (not the same as sympathy, mind you) toward a character who is clearly a Hate Sink while a character crying a couple chapters ago who was clearly meant to evoke sympathy just irritated me.
¿?¡!It's a weird kind of thing, yeah. Sometimes trying to be sympathetic can evoke exactly the opposite response.
Not for me, I think Oda's Intended Reaction to Judge's blubbering like a crybaby is to show him to be the pathetic hypocrite he really is. All of this time he was talking about Might Makes Right, he right now is begging pathetically for mercy where he never gave to anyone who is weaker than him. Judge's tears to me is just him getting his rightfully long coming desserts. It actually would make me want to taunt him as well, in order to further hammer in how screwed he is and that there is little to no way out.
Man, Niji's voice is hella deep in the anime. I always did picture him with the lowest and roughest voice of the siblings, and it was in line with the one other role I've heard his seiyuu in, but it's still going to take some getting used to.
I think this might be my favorite scene in the whole series.
That's everyone's favorite moment for making the putrid walking buttholes pay for their monstrous behavior.
Sorry no my favorite moment is Luffy pushing a zombie back into its grave and then giving a 'job well done' look.
Do you think we'll ever see a World Noble trying to throw their weight around one of the Four Emperors? I kind of want to see what happens if a World Noble tries to push around Linlin or Kaido, if only to see how far they'll fly when they get swatted.
That was hilarious. Only Luffy would avert the Zombie Apocalypse by shoving them back into the ground.

I've always been fond of Luffy one shotting Bellamy in Jaya.
He really needed to be taught a lesson in humility back then, and it was really satisfying. At least he became a better character in the post-timeskip, and actually grew some honor.
I wonder now if we'll see Bellamy in the new Straw Hat Fleet cover story. He didn't join, but he does have a piece of Vivre Card
Yeah, I wonder what antics he would get into.

I don't have much to say except that in regards to Luffy, I think he's wrong about him not having changed; it's just how he's changed as been pretty subtle.
Like, the old Luffy wouldn't probably wouldn't have cared about saving the kids at Punk Hazard outside of Nami and Chopper caring, but he wanted to help them on his own. The same is true for Dressrosa with Doflamingo and everything he did to all of the people beneath him.
Fishman Island might have clarified Luffy's "I don't want to be a hero!" position, but nonetheless he's starting to look beyond himself and those immediately close to him with matters like this, and that's something.

I think I've seen literally that exact post somewhere else. A copypasta, in other words.
Wait, people actually liked Punk Hazard? Why?
He's also become a better leader & is more competent.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."
Also this probably doesn't interest anyone but the latest SBS revealed that the big hairy guys from the Charlotte Family are a set of quintuplets. In order of birth: Opera (goopy whipped cream guy), Counter and Cadenza (the two Haki-users that took down Luffy), Cabaletta (glimpsed briefly during a crowd scene; has pom-poms on his head) and Gala (hasn't been seen yet).
