Sonic Battle

It seems to be a running theme to make Cream the resident Game-Breaker in handheld games she appears in.

Also, Knuckles' "Heal" was closer to "Power of RAYGE" since he charged his Ichikoro faster than restored HP. O.o

I love how Emerl's personality changed depending on who he was around and who he'd been hanging out with. It was soooo cute when he talked in proper sentences ^^

Thats what you get when you combine Totally Radical Mascot with Attitude and Cute Shotaro Boy Gadgeteer Genius

There were quite a few funny moments in the game.

Also, I wonder how many Shadow/Rouge shippers went nuts with Shadow practicly living at Rouge's during this game.

I like how Rogue's area was a casino, and Amy was all upset about Emerl going to a seedy place like that.

I don't even ship, and that was a bit obvious.

Also, I'm adding that personality line to the game page.

We should add the stages to the game's page. As well as a good image, if we can find or make one.

I liked the times when Emerl was with Knuckles, and he'd spout off some rude line from Knuckles, and Knuckles is all "Uuuuhhhh, he must've learned that from Sonic, yeah!" to whoever they're talking to.

By "real", what do you mean? His Original personality, or his final personality?

Overall, despite being a fighting game, kinda heavy focus on the characters and their personalities, right?

And Amy getting all gleeful over Tails' little slip trying to explain what's the deal with Emerl.

"It's Emerel. He's Sonic's pet project."

"Huh?"

"Well, kinda like his baby?"

"OHMYGODHEISPRACTISINGFOROURLITTLEONESQUEEEEE!"

That... was a bit over the top.

Also, what kind of obsession did everyone have with fighting. Ok, Sonic and Knuckles bickering and exchanging blows is obvious. Rouge has to be able to fend off security bots, and the less weapons she carries, the more jewels she can steal. Amy had a rather thinly veiled excuse in form of "Boxercise." Shadow is Shadow. Emerel was made as a weapon. Tails has always been something of a Badass Bookworm since the day he met Sonic and started to save the world with him.

Cream seems to have the most sensible and normal mindset out of all of them. Or then she was just a Actual Pacifist that had a Break the Cutie moment. And her Chao Took a Level in Badass. She fights very little herself, in fact.

Also, what can be considered Emerel's real personality pre-game is very obviously hinted when he says some of those ominous things whenever he got an emerald shard. Also, he did look rather creepy when his portrait image was facing the screen directly. As if staring into the player. It was mostly the way the shading was used, I think.

Tails is a Badass Bookworm who Minored in Ass-Kicking.

Next up, I noticed Sonic The Fighters doesn't have a page. It'll certainly be harder to do, since there's much less of a story, but we should try.

Please add those Nightmare Fuel and Paranoia Fuel tropes to the game's page. I don't scare easily, but that third eye, staring right at you, especially the shading, and those sentences creeped even Speedwagon me out. That had to be intentional.

I'm glad that by the time of Sonic Advance 3, he probably adopted that composite personality as his actual personality. And that he had his own moveset, so that he could possibly appear in another game without pissing someone off. Though I'd like to believe that if he had a Super Form, in the "positive energy" one he'd have access to all the moves he knew. The negative energy one would of course be Non-Agression, from Sonic Advance 3.

I really wish he'd make some other appearance. He was a really great character.

I doubt Sonic The Fighters really needs a page. Bean and Bark showed up in the comics more than the games. :P

Poor Amy got Flanderized the worst. It was funny when she berated Emerl for acting rough and mean, and then slapped a guard robot or something.

Edit: Video Game Caring Potential hit me hard with Emerl. i just got so attached to the little guy....I can kinda see where Amy was coming from; it WAS like watching a kid grow.

Funny how Tails has a few Alternate Character Interpretion going for him.

Games where he is playable? Badass Bookworm, even though most games don't have him use any devices, he is still a skilled inventor and engineer when not at his work desk. And then he can speed up to very high speeds with his twin tails and kick as much ass as anyone.

Some cartoons and maybe comics? He tends to Lose A Level In Badass and focus more on being The Smart Guy. This is probobly cos the whole spin jump thing would be really weird in a cartoon for anyone else than Sonic who practicly turns into a ball of saw blades. What does Tails have? Intelligence, soft fluffy fur and giant poofy tails that also are Made of Iron. Most writers completely miss the last point. Except maybe in the Tournament Arc of Sonic X when he blocks blows from a kung fu guy with them and lifts him in the air with them.

Tails' spin jump ability in games works cos his super strenght tails protect the rest of his body when curled up.

Wait, like literally made of iron?

Those three guard robots as Knuckles put me off the game for a month. >.> Still reluctant to replay his chapter cause of that...

Probably. He's also technically a Bonus Boss, or do you have to face him for Shadow's little challenge?

for tails's tails: he's just a lot more durable than his fur would suggest.

Video Game Caring Potential was strong that decade, between Emerl and the Chao.

For Chaos 0, Giant Space Flea from Nowhere, but it was incredibly helpful, if not mandatory, to fight him. His 3 hit combo was low cost, quick, and very effective.

Fake Longevity: Shadow's challenge at the end of the game, though it's useful for story purposes, gathering moves, and [[spoiler: saying last goodbyes. Sniff.

Why was he so slow anyway? I distinctly remember him being pretty quick in Sonic Adventure.

That was when he was that fish thing, or a puddle. Plus him being so quick would break the game even further.

I still think it's a valid theory that his tails are the strongest part of him. Out of all the non-gadget attacks, he uses his fists for two. He never kicks, he bludgeons/whips with his tails.

then again, everyone in the series is somewhat Made of Iron. They basicly body ram all their enemeis, except for a few games, like this one. Sonic and Knuckles still do it though.

Oh, and I loved using Rouge's air action (or was it her Jump?), even if it made him look ridiculous.

Well, Tails' tails have been explicitly stated as strong enough when whipped to cut things such as reeds and some rocks, but he's spun them to make himself into a tornado that breaks robots on contact.

What I'm more concerned with is: how exactly does his ball mode work, since his tails are stationary during?

Rouge's jump was a lifto off and then made you stay aflot for quite some time.

Rouge's Air Action was simply the ability to land freely, bot having to wait for the slow landing.

Didn't Cream's and Rouge's flight look identical on Emerl? Tails' little air hop looked silly on him though.

Also, I don't think shallow water plants are that tough to break, but the rock thing makes sense. Also funny how in 2D games he spins but his tails seem stationary, in 3D ones he literally covers his head with them while curled up in the air and spinning.

I hated when Shadow used his Power moves. i could never dodge it, and never thought to block it cause I used power moves too...That One Attack...
