This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here.
- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
- Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread), Five-Man Band (Thread), and Magnificent Bastard (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.
- Also, we do not do direct edits (other than changing wicks) to Magnificent Bastard or Complete Monster example lists. Rather, you need to do the edit to a sandbox page that follows the format Sandbox.Magnificent Bastard<Name of the example subpage> and Sandbox.Monster<Name of the example subpage> (e.g for Monster.Disney it's Sandbox.Monster Disney) and ask for it to be swapped in on Saturday for Magnificent Bastard and on Monday for Complete Monster.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.

Tropes Are Tools has this sentence (last line of the paragraph beginning with Almost Every Trope has a Silver Lining). —>"Remember, while this site is fairly snarky, most of the snark is directed towards shows that don't use tropes well. "
It might be a good idea to remove that line, since right now it reads like "feel free to bash shows because you think that they suck"
Now Bloggier than ever before!I'm not seeing it. The page lays out how tropes are neutral tools. The bit on snarkiness comes shortly after a whole section on why tropes are not bad in and of themselves. I think it would take serious effort to misread the page and come away with the idea that Tv Tropes is the place for content-free bashing.

I disagree: given this line from the Home Page (bolding mine)
I'd say that a line approving of snarkiness against "shows that don't use tropes well" is not a good idea.

Unpleasable Fanbase now has a redlink in the page quote, due to the page it pointed to being cut. This should probably be removed.
Main.Paedo Hunt:
Please add to the "Literature" section:
* This is a recurring theme in the works of former Whitehouse member Peter Sotos.
Please add this to The Lonely Island.
- What Do You Mean, It's Not Awesome?: Like A Boss is mostly the boss talking about how he does stuff like a boss.

Can you add this line to My Immortal?
- Textual Celebrity Resemblance: Ebony opens the fic by describing herself as looking like Amy Lee.
In The Irate Gamer please change "McKids" to "M.C. Kids" which is the true title of the game.
Thank you.
In TV Tropes The TV Show please add something along the lines of "Not to be confused with Echo Chamber."
Was anyone confusing it? That said, I edited in the sentence.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"On the Mary Sue page, please change the all caps portion to something else.
In other words, the term "Mary Sue" is generally slapped on a character WHO IS IMPORTANT IN THE STORY, possesses unusual physical traits, and has an irrelevantly over-skilled or over-idealized nature.
Since there have to be characters important to the story (like the main characters), it would make more sense to say something along the lines of Spotlight Stealing Squad. Thanks in advance.

There's only one good thing about Mary Sues... they don't exist in real life.I see no need to edit that; it's perfectly clear when read in context.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Memento has an Alternate Character Interpretation example on it. I've already added it to the YMMV page, but it also needs to be deleted here.
On the Pædo Hunt page, I saw this example
This doesn't appear to have much to do with the trope, other than being about a child molester. I think it should be removed.
Kill all math nerdsOn that same page, under Film.
... Unless it's meant to be addressing children? That seems unlikely, but now I can't unsee it.
And at the bottom, the first two sub-bullets under South Park are nattery and can be deleted. Unless you happen to know the truth off the top of your head and can fix it, but deleting is much faster.
she her hers hOI!!! i'm tempeDone. Done.
In The Irate Gamer, all the uses of Super Mario Bros. 2 are not in the correct namespace and there are opening parentheses without the closing parentheses. Also please remove the unnecessary rhetorical questions.
Fixed the links and a few parentheses. But the idea here is that you provide us with ready-to-go chunks of markup we can slot in. So that's what you'll need to do if there is more to fix.
Could these be added to John Cena?
Armor-Piercing Question: To CM Punk on the July 11th episode of RAW: If you love the WWE Universe so much, why are you walking out on them?
Kirk Summation: Gives one to CM Punk on the July 11th RAW, deconstructing a major part of Punk's Heel persona; he's a Hypocrite whose Moving The Goal Posts to try and make it so the WWE can't meet his demands, despite him having everything he'd been asking for, and finally delivering an Armor-Piercing Question about the fact he'd been saying how much he "loved" the WWE Universe all night but is trying his hardest to get up and leave them. Punk attempts a Shut Up, Kirk! and blame it on Cena, but his own actions render him unable to effectively counter Cena's point.
Also, an addition to Worthy Opponent
Fixed.
