One of my characters has a virtual world, with unintentional representation of these- a black and white silhouette, standing in for his angel and demon. There's also his humanity, represented by a floaty skull.
He ends up knocking out the lot of them when he gets tired of their squabbling.
This is this. How about one angel being evil and the other being even more evil than the last one, like this

How about a bisexual character with a straight guy on one shoulder and a gay guy on the other shoulder?
I'm feeling strangely happy now, contented and serene. Oh don't you see, finally I'll be, somewhere that's green...In one episode of Just Shoot Me, Dennis has a little devil version of himself (i.e., David Spade in a red suit with horns) appear. When he asks where the angel is, the conversation is basically:
DEVIL: Are you Dennis Finch? FINCH: Yeah... DEVIL: THEN NO!!
Embroiled in slave rebellion, I escaped crucifixion simply by declaring 'I am Vito', everyone else apparently being called 'Spartacus'.Perhaps the shoulder angels/devils could be more personalized. Eg, a Star Wars geek might have a shoulder Obi-wan and Palpatine.
Belief or disbelief rests with you.Seen all of those before... except for Ooze's suggestion, which I find amusing in concept.
What about someone who has "overkill" and "waste not want not" angels? Or a "cloak" angel and "dagger" angel? "Cloak" always recommends sneaking away and coming back after more preparation, "dagger" always wants to attack immediately. (Because obviously this isn't a place where angels fear to tread!)
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableI've though about including a gag where Zaran has a Shoulder Devil and a Shoulder Demon. One says the usual Shoulder Devil stuff (encouraging selfish behavious and so on), the other just keeps yelling "Killmaimburn! Killmaimburn!". She usually ignores both of them.
Narbonic has some excellent shoulder chibi scenes. The main character has, among others, good, evil, romantic side, inner child, inner nerd and, once in a while, social life. It's well worth the archive binge to find them.
Narbonic was the inspiration for this thread.
My character has a Split-Personality Takeover, but often listens to her Morality Pet, but when she's alone The Conscience bothers her and is represented by her Superpowered Evil Side.
In an anime, I'll be the Tsundere Dark Magical Girl who likes purple MY own profile is actually HERE!Well, here are some examples I've used, whether in stories, an Aborted Arc, or one-shots.
- A Roman senator and a Gaul for Thraex.
- Two completely apathetic shoulder beings for a Hero Antagonist who's Neutral Good, leaning towards True Neutral.
In a very short lived comic idea of mine, I had a character who went clothes shopping and she had a fashion/trendy angel and a comfort angel who were trying to influence her purchases (I imagine that the trendy angel would encourage her to wear mini-skirts in the winter while the comfort angel would be all for a big winter coat, thermal underwear, goofy sweater and practical winter boots). If I were going to use these angels long-term I'd probably extrapolate them into a conformity angel and a non-conformity angel or perhaps a preppy angel and a geeky angel (alternatively, a goth angel or a punk angel).
I'd recommend analyzing your character for any potential inner conflicts that they might have and then create the shoulder angels from that.

My Human guy has four shoulder fursonas. A dragon that represents his passion: A Bull that's his stubbornness, An owl that's his intelligence, and a Wolf that represents his protective instinct.
I always liked the Family Guy gag of the Angel having his own Shoulder Angel and Devil.

Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayThe four elements expressing emotions over a moral/ethical option.
Fire- hotheaded / Blow stuff up.
Water- Cool / kind.
Air- Rebellious / Fun-loving.
Earth - Stoic / wise.
Fifth element - Lighting - cunning / quick-thinking.
[[User Banned]]_ My Pm box ix still open though, I think?
Just thinking what variants could exist for various characters.
Based on my own(hypothetical) ones: On one shoulder, an out-of-shape Basement-Dweller neckbeard that whispers cynicism and discouragement. On the other, a scrawny guy with giant coke-bottle glasses and a plastic blue lightsaber. Probably braces too. Enthusiatic almost everything and passes that on.
In case you couldn't tell, the top is the devil-equivalent and the bottom is the angel equivalent.
What variants have you written or do you think would exist for you or characters you've written?
