Let's all moan at one another about how sucky we feel. It can't hurt worse than our sinuses already do!
I've got a runny/stuffy nose and a sore throat to match. I woke up this morning feeling unusually better about it than I had been, thinking, "Hey! Maybe it blew over already...!" Ha. As if. Being able to talk sure would be nice.

Yippee, I'm getting another cold.
At least I'm probably done with those for the year after this one. I get maybe one every six months or so.
I don’t even know anymore. Finally went to the hospital a week last Friday (end of August). Didn't have to wait too long, which was nice, for things get hectic at that particular hospital at times. The doctor that examined me said that there wasn't anything wrong with the bones in my neck and said that yeah, tendons and muscular damage only. She gave me paracodol (500mg Paracetamol, 50mg Codeine), which was safe to use with the Tramadol I was already on.
This helped a bit with the pain, and it's started to hurt a lot less than it used to in general just after I hurt my neck, and I have avoided using the pillow that I think caused it.
Still hurts though, and I would rather it didn't, obviously. I maybe get an appointment to see my own doctor this week and see if physiotherapy is in order.
So, there's something off in my right ear. Well, I guess I'm joining my sister in the queue to see an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist... if my father actually realises that that's the appropriate course of action instead of whining that "specialiss are expensive".
Well, at least there's an interesting Voice of the Legion-esque effect in that ear now.
I have disagreed with her a lot, but comparing her to republicans and propagandists of dictatorships is really low. - An idiotI apparently caught a nasty cold.
"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisAaaand sick leave until next Wednesday.
"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisI also have a cold. 'Tis the season.
Got rid of one bug, feel another one coming.
"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisForgot about this thread. I am ok but both my bf and mother have the crud going around.
Devypu's~ Big Pony :3So out with the ear trouble, in with a rash that comes and goes in random spots of my lower body. Sure, the cream helps, but my mother's insistence that everything skin-related can be fixed with Vitamin C (no, I don't think it alone can fix post inflammatory hyperpigmentation) is definitely not.
I have disagreed with her a lot, but comparing her to republicans and propagandists of dictatorships is really low. - An idiotI'm recovering from bad eczema caused by hearing voices, and now I'm regularly getting flare-ups of epidermitis on my left testicle, I hope I don't have to have it removed. I'm currently on my normal medicine for idiopathic hypoparathyroidism, (the magnesium is now one 48.6mg capsule in the morning) prednisolone 2.5mg, vitamin B12 500micrograms and folic acid 5mg and Alendronic Acid (can't remember dose) every Tuesday for osteoporosis, plus paracetamol and antibiotics whenever the epidermitis flares up. And I've applied for ESA over the whole situation, but not heard anything back. The Government are still giving me money, though. Now found out I actually can take Ibuprofen, but not for toothache or headache, which has made the pain and swelling go down.
(related more to your previous post.) I'm glad I was born in Western Europe where we have socialised medicine. I doubt I would still be alive if I was born in America or other countries with a healthcare system you have to pay for.

Keeper of The Celestial FlamePretty sure my sneezing on Friday was from having a cold. It was not helped by spending several hours outside at the 30-degree Ren faire. But today I'm not sure if I have a cold or if it's just from stirring up 20 years of dust in my room.
Fresh-eyed movie blog(New to the thread)
Does anyone besides me have amazing, colossal, totally METAL Hell-periods?
I'm on mine now and in my household, it's called "The Tsunami." At the moment, I'm experiencing a massive headache, earlier, my lower half was in pulsing ache and "No, you can't sleep, you must toilet, FOREVER!" mode. I seriously bleed so much during the second/third days of the Hell that I get weak.
I'm not exaggerating very much when I say that the back room of a grocery store butcher area (my father was a retail butcher and I have been in the back room of those) is cleaner and less bloody than the bathroom when I'm about to flush and leave.
Yes, I've seen doctors for it, and Gynecologists and I've had ultrasounds done on me to look for cysts and cancers and things, and they've all turned up empty. Probably because I'm too poor to get the actual kinds of tests I really need to find anything. I wonder if I'm dying and don't even know it, but... it's been going on for a number of years and I'm still kicking. The most likely culprit, besides Nature hating me (Shakes fist a Viridi, people who share fandoms with me will get this), is probably my psych medication.
Funny how stuff that's supposed to keep me from flipping out and/or putting myself out of my misery end up, once a month, causing me to edge on flipping out and to want to be put out of my misery.
Is this in any way normal? Should I really just keep sucking this up like I have for years? Is this the sign of an early grave?
.... Just want to curl up in bed and sleep forever. See you in a few days. Wake me only if you don't want to have a face anymore.
In which I attempt to be a writer.Well, if you're having incredible pain, it's certainly not normal. If they haven't found any cysts / fibroids / tumours and your pap smear is normal, then you might want to discuss with your gynaecologist about getting investigated for things like endometriosis.
For what it's worth: my deepest sympathies. (Don't bite my face off. Please?)
Not a substitute for a formal medical consultation. The worst is over, I got sleep, so I'm better now.
The one thing that did help that I can't seem to get anymore due to insurance changes is birth control. I feel weird taking it because I'm asexual and have no need to control birth because I'm not interested in doing the thing that leads to babies, but it does staunch the blood to normal levels.
In which I attempt to be a writer.I thought I just had an allergy attack this morning, but I completely fell apart all at once a few hours ago when I went and got myself worked up over something. Stress always sends me into total chaos.
This is bad because I have college tomorrow and I'm out of absences.
"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerWelp, I have a cold.
Yay.
"Yup. That tasted purple."I forgot all sbout this thread. I have a cold too...
I have what feels like the mother of all cricked necks. 19 hours and counting... and the "chiropactor" function on this massage chair wasn't exactly helpful.
I have disagreed with her a lot, but comparing her to republicans and propagandists of dictatorships is really low. - An idiotI have a nasty cold brewing.
Two days before my photography practical exam.
Fuck.
ಠ_ಠGot diagnosed with gastritis, hiatal hernia and possibly gerd. And doctor said no tasty things ever :(
You know what, screw that, I am not even in pain.
And the low-intensity cold I've caught a month ago just won't go away
And I have a vacation in 10 days.
Dammit.
If we disagree, that much, at least, we have in commonIt's happened again. I always just have to get worked up over something, and it rips my immune system right open.
I feel like I drank battery acid.
"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerPuking and diarrhea, yay.
I don’t even know anymore.I haven't been sick for a loooong time, but my whole school is sick...
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdMy cold seems to kicking it up a notch. Not sure if warm forehead or cold hands.
Center and right? Sounds like you pulled a muscle/tendon. If Tramadol is only dulling it a bit that's a sign that you should definitely get it looked at. In the meantime, warm towels or heating pads should help keep your neck from cramping up too badly.
