Excuse me while I go cry in the corner about having basically shot myself in the foot with the episode 5 BD.

The Daisuki Anime Streaming Site Is Finally Up.

So far they have the first five episodes of each of the following series up:

Considering how it got delayed by a month, this starting line up feels a little disappointing.

Nyan Koi! is getting a bilingual rerelease in September. Score! >^.^<

Sentai also announced the license for This Boy Caught a Merman at the same Anime Central panel.

EDIT: More industry licenses — Funi has full rights to Attack on Titan, and Viz has done the same with K.

Anyone know if Nyotaika!! Sekai no Dokusaisha Retsuden (Genderswap!! Dictator Biographies in the World) has released actual biographies of the moe genderswapped versions of the title dictators? I want to know what they did with the monstrous atrocities of fem!Hitler and fem!Stalin.

Unless there's been a follow-up I'm not aware of, there's nothing like that. The biographies are mostly just explanations of what parts of the person's life the artist drew inspiration from

...I haven't really been keeping up on it. I can say that the danbooru pool only has a few of them translated, though. No idea about the rest of the internet

I've never seen the anime myself, but it seems that Eve No Jikan has a Kickstarter project.

And it made it's goal in less than a day.

Anyone know why fight-happy Delinquents in anime/manga often wear their hair in an Elvis Presley-style pompadour? That looks like a high-maintenance hairstyle, which doesn't fit with how delinquents are supposed to be rather ordinary or even below average in terms of their financial situation.

[up]Same reason the punk mohawk exists. Big hair like that adds height and thus intimidation factor.

I may have found the greatest manga ever made.

It's by one of the guys who made Death Note, and it's about an old scientist who turns himself into a 2000 horsepower agriculture robot. It's called Cyborg Grandpa-G, and it is seriously one of the werdest, coolest things I've ever seen.

I really should check out Attack on Titan...

Wait, that "Mars cockroaches" manga is in the top 10? I "judged that book by its cover" and didn't think it would be all that interesting. Might check that out as well.

After tired of reading seasonal anime previews which are outright biased towards certain genres and having incomplete coverage, can anyone suggest something that covers all shows, give reviews of equal length and depth and has no preferences towards or against any genre? Any help is appreciated!

[up]PM me if you do. I am longing for a complete, detailed, equally discussed and unbiased seasonal anime preview.

As a side note, ANN and Random Curiosity are more or less unbiased but they don't do all shows. Hashihime and The Cart Driver have the most coverage, but both are quite biased against merchandise driven, slice of life, harem and kids' shows (while missing Cross Fight B-Daman eS for fall 2012 and Danball Senki Wars for Spring 2013).

Unbiased is very difficult thing for a single person to pull off.

There's our season listings, I guess. In the sense that everything gets a one or two line description of the premise

As a side note, ANN and Random Curiosity are more or less unbiased but they don't do all shows.

Wait, what does RC skip?

murazrai Since: Jan, 2010

[up]That is a listing, but when I say previews, it is more or less a review based on first impressions towards trailers/first episodes. Also, RC skipped kids' shows.
