I'd be in favor of making HMs actual Hidden Moves that weren't part of your Pokemon's moveset but they knew it subconsciously for field use.

That's actually a nice idea. Except, what about the actual USEFUL H Ms? Like Surf and Waterfall...and...yeah.

Make them easily obtainable T Ms?

But yeah I'm all for getting rid of all the redundant/situational T Ms. I'm looking at YOU Defog!

Yeah, make them T Ms as well as subconscious moves. And buff Defog so that it pushes hazards (Stealth Rock, Spikes, Poison Spikes) over onto your opponents side of the field.

I love how you all only look at a move's combat potential.

HM moves should be more multipurpose, basically. At least give them some useability advantages that make them worthwhile for more than just getting past obstacles.

Well, at least 3 or 4 of them have combat potential...

I wish you could customize the Player Characters more. Kinda like in revolution.

In the inevitable 5th gen what pokemon should get new evolutions? Here are my picks.

• Pinsir: This guy has been getting the short end of the stick when compared to Scyther. He needs a Bug/Fighting evo to compensate. Maybe a Fragile Speedster version of Heracross. Alternatively it could get a Bug/Rock evolution with defense oriented stats.

• Farfetch'd: This has been speculated upon for a long time by fans. As it stands Fighting is the only type Flying hasn't been paired up with. That and a Samurai duck wielding a leek-katana would be Bad Ass as all hell.

• Weepenbell: Back in G/S/C Gloom got a Sun Stone based evo in Sunflora. Why not give its counterpart a Dusk Stone based one? It could make an interesting Grass/Dark Pokemon.

• Carnivine: I never understood Carnivine. A pure grass Pokemon found in a obscure area with sub-par stats. Unremarkable really, it's just...there. Basically exactly like Tangela was and it got a decent evo. I would like to see a Grass/Dark evo or possibly a Grass/Steel evo, we haven't seen that yet, right?

• Kangaskhan: As much as I hate pre-evos, Kangaskhan is one of the few that makes sense in giving one. Seriously, freshly hatched Kangaskhans have babies in their pouches? Wat. Besides this could open up a male version too (Khublahroo anyone?).

• Tauros and Miltank: Another two where it makes sense to give a pre-evo. They are implied to be the male and females of the same species. A pre-evo with a gender based evolution could provide a link between the two.

• Eevee: I know, I know. Suggesting Eeveelutions is a borderline Dead Horse Trope now. But I'm thinking outside the box. A normal evolution that has average stats overall, but compensates by having a higher base-stat total than the others and an expansive movepool, something the Eevee line has been suffering for. I was thinking that you get it by leveling an Eevee to lv40 with 5 other Eeveelutions in your party.

So what are your suggestions?

There's a rule of Eevee evolutions, though. It has to have base stats of 60, 65, 65, 95, 110, and 130, and I doubt they would break that trend.

Dang, does Farfetch'd need an evolution, though. It would also be amusing to see the worst Pokemon in the game, Unown, get an extreme Glass Cannon evolution with a Special Attack base stat of 200.

It's a good trend.

Also, I can see how a Skarmory evolution could work: make it shed its steel type (along with the steel feathers, of course), and thus be less defensive, but have more speed and a different movepool. Would be a nice chance for an actual pure flying type (since Arceus shouldn't count).

I was under the impression that a pure flying type would be a sentient tornado or a disembodied pair of wings or something.

Something along those lines ended up being Drifloon and Drifblim.

How does a Ghost Balloon equal Anthropomorphic Personification of Wind/Flight?

Well, a balloon is mostly helium, so if one thinks of it as sentient air, that's probably where they got the Ghost type idea.

By the way how about having ??? type Pokemon or at least more ??? type moves.

Uh, no? ??? type is there only to prevent the game from crashing.

So? Just because its a fail-safe doesn't mean it can't be a feature.

My idea for the next Eeveelution was to have a Normal/Ghost dualtype. Make it evolve by location, or by gaining a level while holding a specific item.
