For some reason I'm getting really heavy Raidou Kuzunoha vibes from the new protagonist.

Wonder what kind of new courtroom gimmick they're gonna pull this time.

I'm also curious about this. It seems they don't put out even one game without a new gimmick anymore.

How likely is it that the woman in the trailer is a young Ami Fey, or otherwise related to the Feys?

I thought Ami Fey was a lot longer ago than that?

This looks great, but I hope we're gonna get a follow up on the Phantom storyline from Dual Destinies.

i mean come on, groose even constructs the tracks for it halfway through.

I meant I hope that we get a follow up to that story line in another game, because a lot of that was left hanging.

I'd rather they not delve further into who the Phantom is. Let him stay mysterious. Like the Pyro from Team Fortress 2, or whatever is underneath Edd's hat.

This one is my headcanon until the Phantom's true identity is revealed. Any objections to Zak Gramarye faking his death in Apollo Justice in order to go underground and become the Phantom?

well um... has zak ever intentionally killed someone? i cant remember. i dont think he has? so it kinda sounds odd.

You know, I don't really think the Phantom's identity really matters anymore. After all, he's just a mercenary; a pawn.

The real question is, who hired him?

It really doesn't. Is it really that important to get a press release like, "The Phantom's TRUE IDENITY is Bob, a dentist from Kyoto. You've never met him, you never will meet him, he has had no involvement in any past cases, and his career as a dentist will never be important in the entire history of the franchise."

The true identity of the Phantom is irrelevant because the true identity of the Phantom isn't anyone we, the audience, knows or ever will know.

im just sad that one of the nicest and most helpful detectives in the series turned out to be evil the entire time ;_;

Personally, I missed Gumshoe every time Fulbright was onscreen, and considered him a Replacement Scrappy. I spent at least two cases complaining about why we didn't need a new detective, an older Gumshoe or even retaining Ema from Apollo Justice would have sufficed. He did finally grow on me, though.

Then The Reveal happened and I suddenly was very happy he wasn't Gumshoe.

i wasnt too fond of him at first either, but i warmed up to him fairly quickly. mostly i just think the 2nd case is terrible and being introduced in it doesnt help his case

I still would've preferred it if the Fulbright from cases 2 and 3 had been the real one, and he had been replaced by the Phantom in between them and case 4...

Although it would be nice to see the real Fulbright, it's definitely more creepy that the person that you've been trusting and working so close beside you throughout the game is actually a serial killer.
