I haven't played that game, so I'm not sure. Do you control the Chao at any point?

Here some crazy ideas for crossover fighting games that Warner Bros video game division should make.

Idea #1: A Mortal Kombat game that crossover with LEGO Ninjago. Might as well happen given the settings of both worlds being similar in the whole martial arts fantasy and some sci fi elements. Oh, and the catch is the whole crossover will be done in the LEGO style and adhere to its logic. So it would be amusing to see how fatalities go in this crossover.

Idea #2: One starring the Looney Tunes cast as they crossover with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (that is the tentative name I’ll give for the group of characters from the Mouse-Duck Comic Universe). Another amusing crossover I like to see just for the novelty of these classic cartoon characters adapted into a fighting game. Oh and if WB does dlc as usual, chances are other classic cartoon characters will appear in the game like Felix the Cat, Woody Woodpecker, Betty Boop, Popeye and even Superman. Speaking of Superman . . .

Idea #3: A crossover fighting game based on the whole concept of Goku vs. Superman. But here’s the catch: the games plot won’t be taking place when the characters are fully adult, so its more like Kid Goku vs. Superboy (or more accurately a crossover fighter of the original Dragonball manga and Legion of Super-Heroes). I think that would be a cool game to see as not only will this be a DC game which focus on the LOS team but also be a Dragonball fighter which focus more on the series before Z and features characters in the roster we wouldn’t expect to see in (like Bulma).

Steam Kart. Or Valve Kart, Team Fortress Kart, Half Life 3 Kart, whatever. It would obviously be a kart racer, but with content from a wide variety of games on Steam. Imagine having Gordon Freeman riding in a Rocket League car using a Fat Man weapon power up while racing through a Cities Skylines city. It'd be a copyright nightmare and absolutely absurd massively multiplayer crossover, in a good way.

I missed the part where that's my problem.

I present to you my latest weird game idea...

Salmon GUN

It's a game about salmon migration and the Salmon Run where you play a salmon that has to contend with predators... except that your salmon has a gun. And so do a number of the predators.

Gameplay is a Horizontal Scrolling Shooter inspired by In the Hunt: You can move around in the water but not the air (although you do get the ability to jump out of the water), and enemies can attack from both the air and the water.

Purchase guns and various powerups in order to survive the hell that is the salmon's natural life cycle!

Boss battles are based on the salmon's natural predators, such as a bear, an eagle, a shark, orcas, and humans (in a fishing trawler). There's a lot more to that, of course — check the darth wiki page for more details.

(I know that salmon with weird technology isn't new, Splatoon 2 did it first.)

Superman game where you have to hold down a button at all times to make sure your powers don't destroy everything in your vicinity when you use them. Since that's basically the whole thing with the character.

Superman game based in, get this, kryptonite fog, containing your powers as a clever excuse to avoid draw distances. And also, he has to fly through a lot of rings, so as to hone the player's flying skills. In a time limit, of course, because why the hell not?

It sounds like an amazing game already, doesn't it? And it certainly has never been done already.

And FPS and an RTS with a shared multiplayer mode.

People playing the RTS can starts a skirmish game against each other. People playing the FPS can jump into the battle as individual infantry units. Those players have significantly more health and move faster than the generic units, can use every weapon, and can do things like jump, crouch, an shelter; on the other hand, they have limited (replenishable) ammo and need to reload. The RTS players can give orders to the FPS players, but obviously the FPS players can ignore or outright disobey orders what with having free will and all. Likewise, the FPS players can request support from the RTS players, with the same chance that the other human will give them the aid they ask for.

The game ends when one side wins.

I just saw the movie When The Bough Breaks - a thriller about a couple who gets a surrogate, who becomes dangerously obsessed with the husband - and if it was done right I think it could be a great video game: The aspects of tracking down and communicating with the stalker could be really interesting and intense, and the whole set up could be a psychological horror game in a vein that not many games are already in - the fear of losing a child or one's marriage isn't a fear I feel like has been truly explored in a satisfactory manner in mainstream games.

A Sonic the Hedgehog spinoff starring Silver. Explore his backstory properly, or actually give him a good one that will stick, and make his psychokinesis actually work properly.

Though you know whose character deserved its own game more?

A JRPG about anthropomorphized representations of the food groups, with Grain as the tank, Protein as the attacker, Dairy as the healer, Fruits and Veggies as the magic-users, and Dessert as either the Big Bad or the Disc-One Final Boss.

I was thinking that maybe instead of the usual Corrupt Church plotline RP Gs usually do. I was thinking it would be a governmental body that has banned the world's religion and the main character is full of people who are secret practitioners of this banned faith.

'All the world will be your enemy, Prince of a Thousand Enemies. And when they catch you, they will kill you... but first, they must catch you. Digger, listener, runner, prince with the swift warning: be cunning, and full of tricks, and your people will never be destroyed.'

It's some sort of abominable mix between Mirror's Edge and Dishonored. First-person, you can walljump, build up momentum, run across walls temporarily, jump from ramps. You also have the ability to quickly flit from one bit to another like a shadow, similar to Dishonored's Blink — though this works a bit more like a Sonic Mania drop dash and, while it gives you a brief moment of invulnerability, it doesn't let you make much vertical height (at least, unless you propel yourself off a ramp, etc.). It doesn't interrupt momentum, fortunately. You begin in a semi-open level and have to figure a path to the end level. The challenge is to complete a level in both a smooth and, ideally, fast way.

The added trouble is this: it's a dark and dreary world — you set out at night, it rains sometimes, it's the worst. And all over this place are armed foxes; humanoid foxes, maybe, in longcoats with human bodies but very, very ordinary fox-like heads. And you, alas, are a rabbit. A magical one, perhaps, but a tasty one nonetheless. They can't kill you instantly, but they can certainly kill you quickly. They patrol around in mostly predictable ways, they're fairly loud, and their hearing, while not completely deaf, could be better. To help deal with them, each level you begin with a few noisemakers (to throw and potentially distract) and a few shockbolts (you fire them and they'll be stunned for a few seconds, as if you had thrown dust in their face). But these are limited. But you are quick, no? Quicker than them — though perhaps not as quick, potentially, as any bullets sent flying your way. Run fast enough, swerve to put the right cover between you, take the right paths, and you might not even need those bolts. Maybe certain floors make different noises to run on, Thief-style.

To be honest, I'm not sure this would really work out well. The design's easily frustrating, especially as you first 'learn' a level; ideally there shouldn't be much punishment for failure (either in terms of loading or game over screens — just flit back immediately to the start of the level), though I don't know how realistic that would even be, development-wise. And I'm not really sure Mirror's Edge needed more pseudo-stealth elements — partly the idea came when I heard discussion of Dishonored as a 'superhero stealth' game and found watching speedruns of it, including Non-Lethal/Ghost ones, interesting. But look, this thread isn't called 'games you think people would genuinely be excited for'.

I don't know, that sounds like a pretty nifty idea. It would take a little care to implement without making it frustrating, but I'd be down for playing that game.

Based on the recent Spider-Man game, a Spider-Man game where you sctually have to take care not to kill enemies or random passersby by accident. Threw a mook off a building? It's up to you to make sure he doesn't hit the pavement and die. Green Goblin threw bombs at you? Don't just dodge, make sure he doesn't hit the building full of people right behind you!

It'd be frustrating, but one hell of a challenge.
