Well, we know Durandall lurks here, but he's stated he won't post here until he finishes the story. Or something to that extent.

Before the last chapter was added, his site mentioned that having a contributor page here and appearing on this thread would be a conflict of interests.

That is an epic picture of Yuki, by the way. Looks more waifish than delinquentish but still brilliant. Now if only there was a way to give you that level of skill. ;P

... Now you're being silly. I'm not that good at writing fics yet. And besides, if I were him, why would I go as afar as giving credit to myself in the next chapter after The Flamer Incident? (The credit was for a PM session between us, BTW, so only the two of us know of it. I certainly did not expect him to put me in the credits list. It feels... nice.)

You could credit yourself in order to make it seem like you're a separate person, with the fact the thanking happened nowhere we can see meaning nothing need have happened. Of course, I don't think you're Durandall since there's no indication that's the case.

What I said above I once put into practice on an instant messenger with half a dozen other people. I was in it twice (one person as a male, one female) and only the person I'd told beforehand had any idea what was going on. XD

And I never said you did.

The reason given for removing the Fridge Horror regarding Kyon's absence in some words. The maths makes sense (but where's the year come from? I never remember its being mentioned anywhere...) but we never really see much of Keichii's family, and it's entirely possible that we just didn't see Kyon's mother in Higurashi. Which means she was there to die, rather than not being born.

So... should the example be returned with a minor edit? :O

Present being 2011? From the Epigraphs. Kyon being 16? He said that... some time after being shot, in the hospital I think. And Higurashi was in 1983, as Rika said.

I won't complain as long as it fits correctly.

Kyon should be 'seventeen', because his parents count his age from from the beginning of the school year (which is in April in Japan). Since it's May in-fic (given that Haruhi is planning the one-year anniversary party), and Kyon's birthday is in July according to the fic, he should be a few months from turning actually seventeen.

Think Kyon's age was also mentioned at the end of the Hinamizawa arc. It wasn't his age that I was confused about, anyway.

But see, now I'm confused about his age. He should technically be two months from seventeen, right?

Work out the possible dates for Watanagashi, and Kyon's birthday must be one of them. Find someone keeping track of the time in this story (I never do for anything, too much effort) and ask them what day it is. Proceed from there to work out how far away from Kyon's birthday we are. :D

Well, Sakanaka might know enough about Kyon to know how Oblivious to Love it is and then decide it's contagious.

Watanagashi has to be about mid-June, since Higurashi was the story of the endless June, and seeing the calendar say July 1st is what ends the story. It's somewhere in May in the story, I think.

Went ahead and made Crowning Moment of Funny, Awesome, and Heartwarming Pages. Indexed them as well. Now I just hope the icons on the page show up.

Just reread Kyon's argument with his parents following the Yamane Incident and the Kyo-Tsu-Yu Power Trio curbstomping the Fujiya yakuza. In hindsight, Kyon's mom just earned more Jerkass points in my perception.

I really do wonder how she turned out that way. Shion's suggestion is amusing but I really don't think it could have that much of an impact. Not without this and all its various implications getting involved, and I'm sure we'd have noticed if that was the case.

Probably not the exact right page to illustrate my point but I'm too lazy to search. Possibly this one in conjunction with the above?
