@random: It's obviously symbolic.

I'll admit, I've seen only small pieces of this show, but from what I've seen, Ish's VA can't really act...

Yeah, it's one of those times when you kind of wish they sacrificed authenticity and got a woman to voice the kid instead. Even though the voice acting can get grating sometimes, I love the show simply for its comedy value. The Bollian switching from live action to animation at a moment's notice is great.

no but seriously... its more than just bad voice acting. its bad everything. some of the first people who posted on this subject had some good points about how they advertised this show and the episodes are like 2 minutes long, whats the point??

Well I wasn't expecting it to be spectacular, but from all the hype they put behind the thing, you'd think it would have at least been worth watching, just to see why it was being so hyped up. I mean, they took like a month just to reveal who "Ish" was, and they gave glowing testimony of the show from a bunch of NFL starts, and they give us this? Like I said, though, the show is pretty hilarious.

I don't get why an awful series like this got so much hype. It's pretty much the Nicktoons equivalent to Glenn Martin DDS in terms of how much shilling to do of it.

Probably cause it has the NFL label on it, and Nicktoons assumed that young boys eat that stuff up like candy.

I found it hilarious that the one-hour finale was just all the other episodes strung together with one last short at the end.

Also, they had fucking John Madden. That has to mean something.

Didn't this have something to do with Eye Shield 21? I can't remember but it sounds really familiar.

But yeah two-to-five minute long cartoons that try to take themselves like a serious series are setting themselves up for disaster.

It was produced in New York with a shoe-string budget for a network who failed to hold up a continuing line-up of original programming, so they just decided "let's collaborate with a major RICH RICH RICH company like the NFL and totally obey their plans, because a sports conglomerate CERTAINLY know ALL about cartoons!"

Yeah, not happy. :(

I dont see why people are so upset with a FIVE MINUTE series of shorts

[up]We're upset because we had no idea it was five minutes until they actually aired! That, and the reasons above.

So awful, yet so funny. Hell, me and my friends noticed Ish looks like micheal jackson so...we call it MJFOOTBALL

Apparently, Nick and the NFL are making a sequel show to this, only this time it's going to be MADE FOR TELEVISION instead of for online, and it looks like it will have better animation.

The animation doesn't have detail, but it is pretty clean.

It reminds me of ProStars, or at least the 'sports' theme part.
