A recurring question: When is it long enough to split off a subpage?
While answers varynote , we can usually tell when a subpage is not long enough. Bring any candidates here and we can discuss whether or not they were properly split off and agree on whether or not to merge them back.
Here's one to start off discussion: Pun-Based Title.Webcomics. Merge back to Pun-Based Title?
All of Shocking Moments subpages look very short
If I remember, the "moments" pages don't adhere to the size rule
If they have a subpage, then they'll have a subpage
Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectYeah, if you believe What Goes Where on the Wiki they should always have a subpage.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessAlright then
Are PortmanteauCoupleName.Miraculous Ladybug and PortmanteauCoupleName. The Loud House really big enough to justify being their own page?
Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadThe examples are extremely short. So, no they are not
Hello, was going to make a preemptive query here - I launched the trope Token Good Cop last month, and, thanks to the continued contributions of Alpinist, the number of examples has grown considerably. I am considering making subpages for Literature, Live-Action Films and TV, but wanted to check if they're long enough to justify this?
"The only thing which is certain, is that something will happen".It's definitely grown a lot for a month-old page, that's true. I don't think I would split it quite yet, personally, but I'd agree that it's worth keeping an eye on — especially if it keeps growing.
The main thing I would want to keep in mind is that splitting and organization changes should account for future growth. If the page's growth were to level off soon, then I don't think that it needs to be split. If it looks like it's going to keep growing, however, then a split may very well become useful.
My inclination would be to give it some time and see how it develops and if it keeps gathering material. If it does, then I think that the Film and TV folders are the most promising split candidates, although again that would depend on where future examples end up.

Thanks, that's very helpful.
"The only thing which is certain, is that something will happen".Am I good to merge these back?
Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadAre NoodleIncident.Advertising and NoodleIncident.Visual Novels big enough to justify having their own pages?
This pages are too short. They only cover 3 and 2 game each, and examples are not many.
Some Refuge in Audacity subpages are extremely short
They're short enough to be back on YMMV/
Among them Advertising, Comedy, Jokes, Radio, Tabletop Games, Theatre, and Visual Novels are really short.
They are indeed.
I'll merge them back when I have time
I had some concerns over the subpages for War Elephants that were split off last summer. WarElephants.Literature is definitely too short, to start with. WarElephants.Video Games and WarElephants.Real Life are better in themselves, but I'm also concerned that the main page is made unnecessarily short by their removal. I feel like subpage splits should be done primarily for the purpose of easing excessive length on a primary page than for the hell of it, and I don't think that War Elephants, in its original state, really needed any split at all.
Ninja Pirate Zombie Robot seems to have some very short subpages. For example, the advertising subpage only has two examples and the Asian Animation subpage only has one subpage. Which should be merged into the main page?
Which pages are short on your opinion ?
I would like some opinions. Is OhCrap.Scooby Doo 2002 big enough to justify being a page?
Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadHmm, no. Looks a bit short in my opinion.

I wouldn't say that it is, no.
Yeah, it's too short. Merge it back.
Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectI would like to re-ask for opinions on this matter:
I mean sure but that seems odd. We don't keep other pages on the logic of "stuff will be added in the future."
