Not Tropeworthy: Just For Fun.Trope Names For A Porn Parody

The point of this page is to take the names of tropes and turn them into premises for pornographic works, which, as discussed in the 5P forum, may violate the content policy. Unlike It's Not Porn, It's an Index, several of these entries go into graphic detail about the premise, and a past Image Pickin' thread made this page BUPKIS due to an NSFW image. The mods said we should further discuss here.

Opening, but I can't say that I am persuaded that this violates the policy.

Looking over the page, I am also of the opinion that several of the entries go into far too much detail, and could perhaps use a cleanup at the very least.

Perhaps move the examples to Trope Title Shows? Both pages essentially do the exact same thing, but JustForFun.Trope Names For A Porn Parody is more specific.

For the record, there was previously a section for work pages that listed porny scenarios featuring underage characters (like Steven Universe) and there was at least one entry describing an infantilism porn (for The Diaper Change), and both of those felt too close to pedopandering for comfort.

The page is a funny idea, I won't deny that, but it goes to places that just feel too far. Also these aren't really "porn parodies", as no works are being parodied under the trope section, but just titles for standard pornos. It'd be fun to make a page for coming up with actual Parallel Porn Titles.

If we keep this, we should at least keep an eye on it. But I like the idea of merging it into the other JFF Trope Title page... even if we still keep a few of them as cheap pornos.

I'd suggest just making it a list of altered titles with no plot parts to speak of, but that sort of defeats the purpose of JFF pages like these.

How 'bout really short descriptions?

I feel like having rules on what is and isn't allowed (for example, no underage characters, no overly descriptive descriptions, no pedophilic content (implicit or not)). I also think that having a thread that monitors the page (kind of like the SBIH cleanup thread) would be a good idea, as it would be able to clean up the page and remove the entries that are... rather questionable, to say the least.

It's not a very popular page so we could probably just do with a short-term cleanup or even just the regular lewdness thread.

For me, the page is filled with straight porn premises, and only one mention of a gay porn and a trans porn premise respectively. That looks very nondiverse to me. I know there's lesbian examples to it, but in porn logic, lesbian porn is straight porn.

Regardless, the examples need to have a monitoring to it.

I'm all for diversity, but I don't know if "too much straight porn" is the issue here. It's more about how much porny talk we should have at all, straight or gay. Plus, porn usually isn't the best place for tasteful LGBT rep.

I think this can be cut. I'm not offended by anything on the page, but I just don't think any JFF porn-related pages are needed as it's clear they will cause problems while providing little gain, plus it's short and relatively new.

Shit, this was 2018? I assumed this was a relic of the Horny Troper Years.

I suspect it was spun off Parallel Porn Titles when all the made-up examples were moved to a new page.

The fact that this was made only about three years ago makes me lean more toward cutting this, since it's so recent instead of being a relic from when we had work and trope pages for actual porn. For me, it's not a matter of being offended so much as it being so recent and the fact that Just for Fun isn't a dumping ground (and Just for Fun's purpose really needs to be hashed out; this thread never really got off the ground).

Even if the entries on the page are technically within the "safety" limits of discussing porn, I'm not sure how its very premise of "take an innocuous trope name and make porn premises out of it" doesn't violate the No Lewdness, No Prudishness policy. Rule 34 isn't supposed to have examples anyway.
