I think super trope might be the way to go since it does seem to include some of the tropes you mentioned.
A name change is also likely warranted. It doesn't help that, as the note points out, it has a particular meaning the medium of theather. Maybe "Historical period episode" would be a good name?
Honestly just Cosplay Episode would work, being historical doesn't fit all the examples considering that an RPG Episode requires the same amount of costumes / character designs.
Costume Episode is broader than Cosplay Episode, and seems to be more what the trope is about. (A cosplayer wears a costume, but not everyone who wears a costume is cosplaying.)
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.I think this is pretty well covered by Out-of-Genre Experience.
At the very least, is it possible (for a mod) to fix the "Costume Trash" uncoded redirect (the page is actually blank)?
I'm not sure if Out-of-Genre Experience covers the missing supertrope per se, because we already have Something Completely Different, which lists the aforementioned X Episode tropes as subtropes. Plus we do have Episodes.

Ok, so this page, which came to my attention in the Image Pickin' thread for it, goes WAY back to the early days of TV Tropes. It was first added in 2007 at least according to the wayback machine.
First, there's the confusing title. "Costumer" sounds like a person who is into costuming as a profession or hobby, not a setting. Costume Episode is much clearer as to what the trope is about. The examples on the page don't seem to be misuse per se, but the fact that it has gained a measly 50 wicks after more than a decade on the website is a strong indicator that the title is inhibiting use.
Second, I'm not sure if this concept deserves its own page, or if it's more of a Super-Trope than anything. Most examples are covered by tropes like Noir Episode and Whole-Plot Reference (which this page has specific sections for), but also for example Cowboy Episode, Fairy Tale Episode, Time Travel Episode or Alternate Reality Episode.
