Capcom adds a stinger at the end of 0 HD... completely implying that Becca has been killed by Nemy just so they can finally write her off
Hey... don't give me that look YOU KNOW THEY WOULD DO IT!
I don't know, it isn't that weird for them to make remakes and remakes of their remakes.
I'm the child of the sun! Todo el mundo esta trastornado, todo el mundo la pasa putas.RE Zero wasn't exactly my favourite but it might be interesting to see where this goes. With this, every single important Resi game is now on PS 3 in some manner
That rumor's been around for, like, ever. Assuming it is so, why tease the character through the series?
Besides which, a machine gun in one hand and auto shotgun in the other? Mercs!Rebby would pwn Nemesis. I had, like, the top rank worldwide when she first appeared.
Currently reading up My Rule Fu Is Stronger than YoursWasn't Becky mentioned in Code Veronica? I thought there was a throwaway line that indicated she's with the rest of the S.T.A.R.S gang fighting Umbrella.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.You might be thinking the Mail to the Chief (I see what they did there) from the second game, as I cannot recall anything else. Seems even Capcom can't, as their official guide say Rebecca was killed even though the games contradict it, and to date no other deceased characters had appeared in a later dated game, as in you might get say Krauser in DC but not 5 for example.
Currently reading up My Rule Fu Is Stronger than YoursBecky might as well be dead as faras Capcom are concerned. She no longer fulfills her purpose of being the Improbably Young Girl. She's like, what, 30 in the current RE Timeline? Capcom has no more use for her.
As far as no further use for her, are you kidding? Helicopters for one, whatever the problem with their pilots is Capcom almost seems to have it in for them. For another that small matter of being a scientist and having knowledge of the virus. That might just be useful when everyone else who had scientific knowledge was evil and killed in a virus outbreak. Third what if she really was the mole? That that fanon from haters official.
Currently reading up My Rule Fu Is Stronger than YoursI can't decide whether or not Alex Wesker is a fail villain or a great one. I mean her plan is ridiculous (more or less brainwash a girl into developing a split personality that believes it to be Alex for some roundabout attempt at immortality...and then for the real Alex to commit suicide, only to fail at that too), her signature virus is lame (a virus that reacts to fear but outside of one canon and another non-canon instance that unique quirk never comes up) to the point that most monsters are either uninfected or a product of Albert's oroborous virus.
On the other hand, her stupid plan worked.

#IceBearForPresidentWhy is that none of the character sheets include entries for the groups of common, usually either zombified, parasitized, or outright bio-engineered enemies that one faces in each game? Sure, I get that each individual enemy may not count as an actual character in their own right (unlike, say, Nemesis or Ustanak), but when was that ever required?

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Well there are so many biohazards at this point...
Well Spencer liked her the best and besides now she can continue her goals while in a new body that happens to be in the care of the Burtons.

Mileena MadnessWell, it would've been easier if the effort had begun back when there were less biohazards to deal with.
On another note, do you guys think that Neo-Umbrella could persist as a threat, even after its founder Carla Radames' death?
... And where the hell are Edonia and the Eastern Slav Republic located in Eastern Europe, anyway? What the hell kind of name is "Eastern Slav Republic", come to think of it? Couldn't Capcom at least follow Yugoslavia's example and give it an analogous name, i.e. "Istokoslavian Republic"?
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. You could have a Neo Umbrella
but you'd need something that actually ties it to Umbrella
Carla was just using the name for villain cred when you get right down to it. Essentially its Umbrella in Name only

Ah, but what if some of Umbrella's former mad scientists and corrupt corporate executives were recruited into Carla's Neo-Umbrella to bolster their research programs and organizational management, only for those scientists and executives to take over after said founder's death and turn it into a real, bioterrorism-based successor for the now-dead Umbrella Corporation?

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Well The Family seems to be the next big evil organization...
Mileena MadnessThat could work
Carla had no goal outside of mass mayhem and destruction... She just wanted to watch the world burn
RE 6's attempt to add an Illuminati element in the form of "The Family" could have worked if they had more properly built it up or hinted at it.
In all honesty I thought that The Family were stupid, and just a ripoff of The Patriots. Wish they hadn't shoehorned that in
Well, somebody has to fill up the void left by the (apparent)* deaths of Wesker and Spencer as the major source of financing/supply for whichever far-reaching BOW project is in the works. Resident Evil: Revelations had the head of the F.B.C. be the one who supplied Il Veltro with T-Abyss, funding, and military gear in the first place, so it's not like there's no precedent.
* I say "apparent" because who knows if Wesker may have somehow survived his ordeal, albeit with his Uroborus infection probably greatly diminished by all the damage he suffered. Or if Spencer had already acquired a sample of the Prototype Virus that reanimated Wesker and improved his physical and mental abilities to superhuman levels. Or heck, that either of them kept at least one clone of themselves that would be awakened should they die prematurely.
Well, how plausible would it be if the general trend among those scientists and execs was hating the world that rejected them enough to actually adopt the essence of Neo-Umbrella's pseudo-anarchist founding creed with a mix of Wesker and Spencer's social-darwinist streaks, and thus desire to lash back at the world via bioterrorism with the ultimate goal of destroying civilization as we know it and replace it with a new world order where "the strong" (i.e. virally/parasite-empowered monsters) rule over "the weak" (i.e. the hordes of zombies and pockets of surviving uninfected)?

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Resident Evil 2 is getting a remake.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZcW6W-xVl-8
The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit!Holy shit, they're actually doing it?
An HD remaster of RE0 too? Sweet!
PS: I have yet to actually play any of the games myself, beyond a few sessions of RE5 co-op play with my brother last year. I do own almost everything from a PS 3 collection pack, though (up to RE6, IINM).
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. They announced the HD RE Zero awhile back
But holy shit if they're doing this, this makes yet another long standing video game rumour into full blown reality. Final Fantasy 7 remake, Shenmue 3 and now this.
Let me know if they get Half-Life 3 and Streets of Rage 4 out.
They should do what they did with RE 1 Remake don't change what worked.
Mileena Madness
So I'm excited for RE Zero HD and you should be too.
