It seems to be about as secure as the other belts in the passenger area.

Dr. X: Before we go, how about picking some proper road trip music?
He presses the button with music note on it on the dashboard, which happens to be the master button for the Black Dragon's music library. Soon each seat had a touchscreen in front of it that emerged from a hidden panel in the seat in front (wall for those with a front window view) showing the music library:

- Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door

Dr. X: For you newcomers, just use the touchscreen to select what song you want. The library expands with each music CD we obtain. Each seat should have its own set of headphones in a marked hidden panel somewhere. To turn your music library on and off, just press the music note button that's built into each of the seats. I just pressed the master button to activate them all.
Black Knight: Let's see what's the radio first...
Black Knight turns on the radio with the radio button, which is marked with the word "Radio". One song was just ending when a new one started...

Dr. X: The first four soundtracks on the playlist we bought ourselves at a music store. The others we found during our confrontation with Don Klaw.
Black Knight then starts the engine, causing the Black Dragon to roar to life as the rainbow Tron Lines on the exterior of the black vehicle turn on. Due to the layout of the lines, it becomes apparent that some of the lights were broken since the parts that were lit up were asymmetrical.
Black Knight: Time to do a systems check to see if the headlights are still working from the beating the Black Dragon took today.
He flips the headlight switch, and two beams of white light turn on, though the one on the right was slightly flickering.

Dr. X: Well, seems like there's more things to fix on the Black Dragon than I thought. And yes, the windows can be rolled down, though some of them are already open since the glass has been smashed away from the battle we had earlier today. Don't worry, the broken glass has been removed.
Black Knight: I'm in the mood for some purple, so before we go...
Black Knight adjusts a lever that has a rainbow chart along its length. The rainbow lines on the exterior then changes to a solid glowing purple. As soon as Black Knight lets go of the lever, the color changes to pink. Thinking it's a glitch, he moves the lever to yellow. Once again the color changes to pink.
Black Knight: Dammit, the internal mechanism for the Dragon Bloodlines must be out of whack from all the hits the Black Dragon endured today! I doubt anybody would take us seriously in this color, so if anybody laughs at us while on our road trip you have my permission to shoot them on sight!

"We can resolve these issues soon, but I'd rather not risk fixing them here."
He turned to King, saying, "I'm not sure it's a matter of paint, per se."

Black Knight: Well without further ado, let's get this show on the road!
The Black Dragon then swerves onto the road and heads down it the the city edge, going fast up a steep hill on the northeast corner of the city as they enter the wilderness. As they begin to go briefly airborne from hill as the Black Dragon speeds over it, the noise disturbs a flock of something on the other side of the hill and they fly in front of the Black Dragon in a panic. Some of the birds poop on the vehicle in surprise, while some others end up inside the Black Dragon through the broken open windows. The lights from the vehicle reveals the birds to be pigeons.

Graveshroud, for his part, did not deign to use actual spells on so lowly a foe — he began casting ray of frost and chilltouch on the fowl creatures as they swooped through the window, leaving frozen and withered husks of birds with each casting.

The Black Dragon lands on ground below, leaving behind the twitching bodies of several dead pigeons as they enter some thick woods. The vehicle moves through the shrubbery and over knobby tree roots and rocks, making a very bumpy experience for those inside the Black Dragon.
Eventually Black Knight sees a clearing up ahead that's surrounded by a white picket fence. Wanting to avoid damaging the Black Dragon further, he sees a rocky ledge near the fence and goes off it to get over the fence. However due to the darkness, he didn't see the barn the ledge was facing until it was too late, crashing through the barn wall.
A farmer who was in the middle of milking a cow was startled by the Black Dragon's sudden entry into the barn didn't have time to escape before the vehicle runs him over. The Black Dragon then exits the barn through the open barn doors and into the open pasture, scaring a herd of cows into a stampede as they run away from the vehicle, going in the same direction as the Black Dragon.

"That's not going to be an easy clean. Hopefully we don't run through any cattle while we're at it — I hear the cleaning work after hitting one is rather messy," Graveshroud stated, not particularly concerned with the ramifications of having turned a farmer into a pancake. A tiny bit of soul energy floated through the Black Dragon's armor and was absorbed into the Lich' s torso, causing his eyes to glow slightly.

The stampede crashes through the nearby enclosures, bulls and horses now joining the stampede as a result. As the Black Dragon herds the stampede onto a dirt road that's going uphill, its headlights lit up a nearby sign: "Gildright City Water Treatment Plant", with an arrow on the sign pointing over the hill.
As the Black Dragon moves up the hill with the stampede, a fight of some sort with something big can be heard on the other side along with some music. Black Knight turns the radio off to hear the music outside better:

Our not-so-good Elder Lich looked out of the window, his skull into the wind somewhat. His eye-sockets glowed with a deathless, ethereal red as he stared out into the dark. If he was capable of blinking, he would have done so with confusion as he gazed out onto the scene ahead.
"Say, where is this music emanating from? I cannot seem to locate its source out in the dark with vision alone. Think it's worth investigating?"

"So some sudden music from nowhere, or I guess somewhere... Guess someone wanted to put a soundtrack to their fight, huh?" Laserblaze shone a laser-based flashlight in the direction of the sound as the Black Dragon got closer, trying to get a better look at what was happening.
