Sonic's expression says "attitude" to me, so I have no problem with it.

Keep Until Better Image Suggested.
The JAFAAC argument has already been shot down in the previous thread. I don't think opening a new thread with a rejected argument is good practice, unless you can show something went wrong previously.
Check out my fanfiction! What about a collage?
"Humans and robots living together in harmony and equality. That was my ultimate wish."Keep Until Better Image Suggested.
Spiral out, keep going.A collage might be better if only to avoid coming across as JAFAAC.
What's wrong with my game cover? Furry mascot but with battle armor guns and a mean look, rated T for teen as well instead of the standard E10.
Out of context, any of that could just as easily mean "stoic warrior."
Could be useful in a collage, though.

A collage sounds like a good idea.
It would be less JAFAAC if the title of the franchise is shown in the image — so it's not just an image of a Funny Animal, but a Funny Animal Title Character So It's More Obvious That They're the Mascot (eg. Spyro◊, Sonic◊, Crash Bandicoot
Collage works too.

Since the Crash Bandicoot part seemed to be in widescreen format (or something like that, I gave it twice the width of the other parts; although curiously, for the other parts, "hedgehog" is legible, but "dragon" is not.
And if I made the Crash Bandicoot part 175 pixels wide, it'd take up less space than the other parts, making it seem biased against him.
Also, it makes Crash look like he's on drugs.

Though maybe we should switch the page quote to not be about Sonic.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?I don't think Crash gets it across very well; he just looks like he's yelling. At least the other two have the DreamWorks Face.
I take it it's not problematic to not have the "dragon" part of Spyro The Dragon be illegible, then?
Alternative to Crash◊, although this'll need a fourth one. Ty the Tasmanian Tiger◊?
Three variants on it, then:
I'd like to keep the current page quotation the same until I see a better alternative. I can't think of a more overt lampshading of the trope, and I say this as someone who didn't even like Sonic Boom.
Also, last time I tried to send this, I was told the website was nonsecure. Is anyone else getting this message?
Bumping after 6 days... anyone have anything else to add to the collage?
Tentative 19.1. Sonic's attitude is shown clearer than 19.2 and I like the artstyle more than 19.3, but Ty's and Spyro's Species Surnames are too small to read.
Spiral out, keep going.Eh, I still don't think 19.1 shows attitude more clearly; actually, I think it's less so. I still think I should use the version of Sonic from 19.2 in collage entries until/unless there's clearer consensus against it.
I suppose 19.3 was a bad idea in hindsight, though; the art style clashes with the rest of the collage even more so than 19.1's does.
Here's two further alternatives, to address the "species surname" concern. (Although the "dragon" part of Spyro The Dragon is still just barely legible, and I had to crop out most of his left wing to make it so.)

Concerning the illegibility of the titles.
The "Attitude" part is clearly can only be illustrated by an image, but the Species Surname part of the trope could be relegated into the caption, if the text will be too small to read, no? With potholes to the respective Franchises' pages?

Spiral out, keep going.Nonetheless, I presume the options in post 22 are improvements anyway, right?
Everyone keeps on posting Crash Bandicoot, but I don't think he counts. Crash is a goofy Idiot Hero, not a Mascot with Attitude. Only PS 1 advertisements portrayed him that way. His example on the page even notes that. Should he still be included then?

I'm into the Sonic series as much as the next person, but this far from demonstrates it.
Not sure yet what'd make a good replacement, but I'd rather this be imageless than JAFAAC.
