Boruto (New Naruto Era - sequel anime and manga)

I'm not sure they'll do it unless Junko Takeuchi herself decides not to reprise the role since she's become so iconic. If the subject of Goku still being voiced by Masako Nozawa is any indication, they probably won't have Naruto appearing at all if they can't get Takeuchi to voice him.

My limited understanding of things is that in Japan characters rarely get new seiyuu. Death and health issues are the only guaranteed reasons why a seiyuu wouldn't continue to voice their characters. While seiyuu changes outside of those circumstances can happen it's apparently very rare.

I know that when the new D.Gray-Man anime came out, every character got recast. Fullmetal Alchemist had a couple recasts as well (though the Elric brothers kept their original voice actors), with some returning voice actors going on to voice new characters (such as Yuji Ueda voicing Jean Havoc instead of Kimblee). I'm not entirely sure why they made such changes, but voice actor death certainly wasn't the case.

That being said, I don't really see a voice as iconic as Takeuchi's take on Naruto being replaced any time soon, if at all.

Nothing short of an anime reboot would replace Junko as Naruto, and probably not even that.

English dub might be a different story

Well in the case of English there's less issues changing VA's for a character if necessary such as if a character undergoes puberty.

Also is Sasuke a good dad now? Cause I've seen several people & even an article justifying his actions & saying he's no longer a shitty dad, that he's an even better father than Naruto due to the recent episode.

Cause I'm gonna be honest that makes me sad as I'm biased, I think the guys a real jackass & it's gonna be hard pressed to prove me wrong on him being nothing more than a deadbeat loser.

They are giving him the Draco in Leather Pants treatment, and downplay his crappy treatment of his family. Also a lot of those people are big Sasuke fans, who don't think he's ever done anything wrong.

Yeah. I remember when the ending first came out, and a lot of people were saying that it was awful that Sasuke was being punished because he'd done nothing wrong and that Naruto should have changed his mind and torn down the current society alongside him instead.

Plus a lot of people really Ron the Death Eater Naruto as a father out of dislike for Boruto as a character, plus the Ship-to-Ship Combat of Naruhina vs. Sasusaku over which one is the Beta Couple often takes the form of trying to prove why their family of choice is better.

Or maybe they just watch too much Dragon Ball Super and want a "Vegeta is a great dad and Goku is a horrible one" type reversal here too.

Oh, I'm sorry. I rewrote that post a couple times and left out the context. I meant dislike Boruto in comparison to Sarada. I've actually seen the argument that Sasuke is a better father because Sarada is more likable than Boruto.

But yeah, it's totally Ron the Death Eater to call him a terrible apathetic father, and bringing up totally irrelevant stuff he did that you didn't like doesn't change that.

Yeah I think people are projecting cause Bort's kind of a brat. Naruto's more a father to Sarada than Sasuke's ever been at this point.

I mean they are also a ninja village with a lot of other morally questionable going abouts so valuing an important assets secrecy is really the tip of the iceberg.

I don't even like Sasuke or Sasusaku and I find the idea that Sasuke is somehow a worse dad than Naruto as well as the reverse unbelievable. Then again, even though I understand where Boruto's coming from I don't think Naruto's a bad dad either. Naruto may not be around as often as he should be but at least he's trying even if he could do better. Sasuke not being around is shitty but it's balanced by his motivations during Boruto being to protect his family and the village from outside forces. I don't think either of them are bad dads so much as they're doing the best given their circumstances.

The problem is that there's no reason for Sasuke to never write to Sarada if he's in contact with Naruto. Even if you're worried about communication being tracked, just tack on a few words at the end: "And tell my daughter I love her and I'm proud she's starting at the Academy etc."
