Benedict Cumberbatch: The New Tim Curry?

I mean think about it, Benedict Cumberbatch today is what Tim Curry was in the past: an INCREDIBLY talented (and handsome) British actor with a distinctive voice.

Is it possible that Tim's spiritual successor is none other than Sherlock? He would be great in cartoons and video games as well.

He's his own guy and I think comparing him to Tim Curry is just silly

You don't use that man's real name! I thought we'd agreed on this. Using his True Name summons him to take a role that could be done by a much better/more apt actor.

Tim Curry has a pop cultural force of personality that Benedict Cumberbatch doesn't have. I've seen him in a few things, and he does not have the charisma nor hamminess that makes Curry amazing.

That and voice. Benedict's voice is nowhere near as awesome as Curry's.
