So...do you guys have any favorite Twitch streamers?
At the moment, I'd say my current favorite is MrLlamaSC (YouTube channel here) and his Diablo II single-player magic find runs (he also uses the PlugY mod for those). His speedruns aren't too bad, either. (Heck, thanks to his magic find runs, I'm trying my hand at a Sorceress as well!)
Disclaimer: I've yet to see a livestream of his on Twitch (thanks to that time zone difference thing) and if he's currently doing a magic find run, I'd love to take a peek.

"Learn as if you will live forever, live as if you will die tomorrow."It's largely YouTubers I follow anyway. So Quill 18, Total Biscuit, Jesse Cox and others. I used to be big into the Hearstone scene so that meant watching Trump, Day 9 is always fun but he tends to do very short streams. Northern Lion and the NLSS is always a good watch but beyond that it's probably just Hot S tournaments.
Let's see I watch Kripp almost every night,
I like to watch Northern Lion but times don't match so I catch his You Tube stuff, same for Day 9, Trump, Hafu, the members of The Runaway Guys, Jesse Cox, Total Biscuit, Dodger, Cry and a few others.
I too follow a fair number of YouTubers listed here, as well as Crendor and Video Games Awesome!.
I do have a channel on my signature as of now, but I didn't do a whole lot on it just yet, nor do I have a set schedule (really, I'd broadcast if I feel like it) since I have a night job.

1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die (all editions) progress: 426/1089 (39.12%)I watch and follow a lot of streamers on Twitch, but the ones I've been watching the most lately are the ones that improv some sort of musical instrument (like drums, piano, or guitar) over music that other people request. Chief among these are The 8 Bit Drummer, Flewp TV, and Exploding Pigeon Live. I also watch and follow a lot of streamers that play Rock Band, Guitar Hero, Rocksmith and other rhythm games. The one variety gaming streamer I watch regularly (and am even subscribed to at the moment) is SkinnedTeen.
Twitch has introduced a new stream category today: IRL, a category dedicated to talking about "your thoughts, opinions, feelings, and everyday life." People are already using this to do things like do laundry onstream while talking to the audience and....just talking to the audience.
Reposting here because it was on the Youtube thread for some reason:
So, there's a new Twitch Prime promotion for Runescape out now. You get a free month of membership and a few other minor benefits if you currently have a Twitch Prime membership.
It'll probably be a pretty good investment for Jagex. I'd imagine they'll get a decent influx of players from this.

"But if that happened, Melia might actually be happy. We can't have that." - Handsome RobI'm getting a kick tuning in to the Mister Rogers' Neighborhood stream they're running.
So. Much. Nostalgia. I wish they'd do more old TV show streams like this.
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)Some rich idiot software developer has allowed Twitch to trade stocks using $50,000 of his own money. Seriously.

R.I.P. The Twitch music community and anyone that has ever played music on the platform ever
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢What happened?
DMCA takedowns have come to Twitch.
AFAIK, it's only targeting clips with copyrighted music in them. Entire VODs appear to be fine, but I could be wrong about that.
In lighter news, here's a Pokémon line based on the Pog emotes. It's surprisingly good.
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢Apparently twitch can’t mute clips so when those get hit they just ban the channel. People are deleting clips by the thousands and disabling the ability to do clips.
Also apparently the music industry is saying they plan to target live streams for takedowns mid stream, which is nuts, but I don’t have solid confirmation on that.
Well, we've got a long list of Youtubers and Twitch streamers being accused of sexual assault or harrassment over the weekend. Some streamers have dropped Online Performers group after its CEO Omeed Dariani was also accused (and then stepped down).
The biggest name on the Youtube side being accused is Angry Joe.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."So, Hassan still didn't get his much-deserved chop, but (As You Know) DrDisrespect got nuked off the face of Twitch, gave several interviews including one that involved his publicist shushing him up as he was about to mention something related to legal proceedings, then moved to Youtube.
While retaining sponsorship deals, and corporate PR is very sensitive when it comes to bad conduct of people they endorse.
The entire thing just feels... off. It's as Doc got the boot for some kind of internal contract violation and not TOS/code of conduct/common sense violation (unlike his restroom stunt that could have legal ramifications). And neither side is willing to air this dirty laundry, so officially Doc has no idea and Twitch isn't saying anything.
Not to mention, Twitch can be petty. A local streamer who jumped ship to Facebook Gaming, reportedly in a rude way, was stripped of his Twitch Partner status when he returned to Twitch after his FB deal expired. But, two others who were more civil returned to Twitch with their Partner status intact.
"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisSo, how does everyone feel about Twitch taking half of the profits from content creators?
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!First time I've heard of it. None of the streamers I watch have mentioned it.
That's what most sites do.
I don't think that the streamers would mention how much money Twitch takes in case Twitch takes them down because of that. But, I have heard about it through Twitter and other social media sites.
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!Twitch will be shutting down in South Korea.
Isn't live streaming big in Korea? This surely suck for them won't it?

Okay, so just recently Amazon just initiated Twitch Prime for those who have an account in both, so this is really neat (honestly, if you buy/stream a lot, Prime is easily worth the annual price). You can even subscribe to one channel for free through there.
