I love how Nishiyama and Hayama's rivalry is composed of "I hate you, but I could never hate your cat."
Buta yurai.
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.Speaking of which, I guess it became something of an in-universe memetic mutation? Or is there another trope for the random name they gave the product sticking among the staff, much to Sonobe's chagrin?
I think it's a case of Sonobe picking up that porcine origin of a name reluctantly, since that name does come up on flyers. Of course, since it's Sonobe, I can't rule out It Amused Me as well.

Scientia et Libertas | Per Aspera ad Astra NovaDamnit Teru in the high ponytail was damn cute. She needs to keep that all the time.
New ep, a Beach Episode that was kinda meh.
Man that kid just needs to go away, absolutely annoying in every way.
it was a very subdued Beach Episode actually — our girls spent most of it working, after all.
That said, there's a very obvious Contrived Coincidence at work here, or else you'd never get not only Youko and her friends, but Kou AND Serina too at the hotel.
Literally everyone was there.
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.Yoko the beach ninja! Har!
Futaba's really good at attracting customers. As expected of a black hole.
Wait, so Shion and Mitsugu went out of their way to beat up the sharks? Those two truly are hardcore.
Episode 8: Futaba gains a rival, Youko gains a Schoolgirl Lesbian, and Serina found to be reading an embarrassingly girly mystery novelnote .
Now the cast is complete with the Tsuji siblings.

Scientia et Libertas | Per Aspera ad Astra NovaEpisode 9.
Probably not my only reply for this episode, but these are what I can get for the time being.
Futaba and Asako (or I should call her Kondou?) gets Teru and Serina on a "date"—well, tickets to the Animal World. It started well, but what happened to Teru? I can't guess what her dark aura means, and that scared away not only the kitties, but also, well, Serina.
Kou sings a song that nearly makes Youko to expire on spot.
And we get to know a bit more about Asako. She seems to be Innocently Insensitive, but obviously not to, say, Seo's extent. And obviously cares about Serina (obviously not to Les Yay levels).
Hajime still can't beat Futaba on eating, and Futaba wasn't even trying. I think Hajime would never win. On the other hand, Sasame is a Nervous Wreck.
Scientia et Libertas | Per Aspera ad Astra NovaNishiyama insisted on picking a fight with Hayama and making a sarcastic jab at her every five minutes. Considering how Hayama is, it's a wonder she managed to even hold out that long before snapping.
Because animals.
Scientia et Libertas | Per Aspera ad Astra Novawithout sound this was pretty good, not so much with sound.
Hayama Kou does not have her killer rendition of that sanzu river song as one of her character songs. I am disappoint.
I can't believe discussion on Sansha Sanyou stopped at episode nine. Let's use this as a basis for continuing: what did people think of the series overall? Would especially love to hear thoughts on Sansha Sanyou from our resident Manga Time Kirara "Experts", especially myssa rei and sam curt.

Being cleverer than you look is better than looking cleverer than you are.The post you linked to is a succinct discussion of what made the series so fun. Considering the insights the author provides, I'd say that makes them the real Manga Time Kirara people over the likes of those who have nothing better to do than talk about the expiration of fictional dairy products. Who does that?
The only resource you need for tropes
OK, what I can be sure after this episode are:
- I have to concur Serina is Hinagiku's expy—you know, I tend to use this trope very sparingly.
- Sonobe isn't Mashiro's predecessor. She's the author herself.
